MooredaleNews Spring 2020 Winter Safety in the Parking Lot Remember to use the parking lot safely – even when there is snow and ice! Bottom line… your children’s safety depends on it. Put your phone away before you slowly enter the l parking lot. l Always BACK CAREFULLY INTO THE PARKING SPOT – between the lines. l Be Polite – don’t yell at our staff who are trying to help direct traffic – your children are watching and learning from you. l Do not leave your car running – it pollutes the air for everyone at Mooredale and for our neighbours too. l Please escort your children and walk across the parking lot to use the sidewalk to travel to the Main House and the Coach House entrances. l Remember to drop off or pick up and then leave the parking lot immediately, to free up the parking spot for the next parent l The Mooredale Parking Lot is for members who are registered in a Mooredale activity or program at that time; it is not a commuter lot, a parking lot for parents driving their kids to Rosedale School, for guests who are visiting nearby or a parking lot while you are running to appointments or walking your dog. l If you have a mechanical problem, car breakdown, come to the Main Office and we will assist you. (If it is after hours, please leave a note on your dashboard with a phone number to reach you.) When the snow plow is forced to push the snow to the edge, we may lose access to a couple of parking spots along the edges of the lot. Please stay safe and it will help everyone arrive and leave in a friendly atmosphere. Snow Clearing Advisory: l Depending on how much snow falls, when the snow plow clears the lot, the snow is pushed to the edges and over the winter we may lose access to a couple of parking spots along the edges of the lot l Please stay safe and it will help everyone arrive and depart in a friendly atmosphere. 9
