and finding your way around the village, through to where to dine or rent your
snowsports gear. Check the following pages for all the information you need
on our winter events and unique snow activities.

VILLAGE ACCESS & CAR PARKING
For day trips you can self-park in the Gully or Slalom North Day Car Parks. Other
day parking exists if these are full - follow the directions of parking attendants.
ARRIVE
For overnight stays stop at the ATS Terminal on the main road where parking
attendants will direct you to an Overnight parking area. A free shuttle will return
you to the terminal from your car.
From 28th June to 10th September Falls Creek Village is closed to vehicles.
Outside of these times you can drive to your accommodation with a temporary
SNOW CHAINS 30 minute access permit to unload your luggage (subject to road conditions).

OUR VILLAGE IS A UNIQUE SKI-IN, SKI-OUT ENVIRONMENT SO
BETWEEN JUNE 28 AND SEPTEMBER 10, THE VILLAGE IS CLOSED TO
VEHICLES. DURING THESE TIMES THE ACCOMMODATION TRANSFER
SERVICE (ATS) IS IN OPERATION TO TRANSPORT YOU AND YOUR
LUGGAGE TO AND FROM YOUR ACCOMMODATION.
ACCOMMODATION USING ATS ON ARRIVAL
• Park as directed in front of the ATS Terminal and unload your luggage.
TRANSFER • Enter the ATS Terminal building via the entry area and purchase or validate
your ticket at the ticket window (ensure you have a valid Resort Entry Pass
prior to parking - you can buy these at ATS).
• An attendant will help you to a car park and return via free shuttle.
• Proceed to the staging area and await direction for boarding the next
available shuttle.

BOOKING RETURN TRIP

Foodworks Supermarket is open 7 days from 8am till 7pm and is located at the
base of the stairs to Slalom Plaza. Foodworks stocks a complete range of fresh
food, groceries and liquor. The Supermarket also features an ATM, phone card

GUIDE FALLS CREEK MUSEUM
Experience our diverse history at the Falls Creek Museum, located in the Panabode
Building alongside Halleys Comet chairlift in Slalom Plaza. Entry is free but a gold
coin donation is greatly appreciated in assisting volunteers to build and maintain
the collection. The Museum is open Tuesday to Sunday from 11am - 3pm.

Falls Creek’s community gym features a range of rowing, cross training, stationary

The Teen Academy is purpose built to cater for those in-between years, kids
aged 13-17 who are too old for the younger programs but not quite ready for

Returning in 2018 is the Parent Pass which allows one parent to ski or board for
3 hours (the duration of a half day kids program) for just $74. The Parent Pass must be
bought with a full or half day pass for the same day for the other qualified parent.*

SNOWPLAY Your first stop is the Village Bowl where snowplay is King! In the Bowl you can make
a snowman in the snow drifts, ride the junior toboggan slope (subject to opening),
slip and slide down the Tube Park and take a free ride on the Gully Chair to get

there and back. Our world class snowmaking and grooming means a reliable
snow experience that really brings the fun!
For more thrills head to the other end of the village where Windy Corner
features the advanced toboggan slope. You can access trails for fat biking,
cross country skiing and snow shoeing there also. The final stop is Slalom Plaza
where you can top it all off with a scenic chairlift ride on Halleys Comet to
Cloud 9 and the skifields above.

WEEKLY TUESDAYS - TWILIGHT TUESDAYS
Head to the Village Bowl from 3:30pm to 5:30pm throughout July and August for
loads of fun and games for kids. There is music, prizes, fire pits and marshmallows

to roast, plus Pete the Snowdragon loves to make an appearance!
WEDNESDAY - NIGHT SKIING
Once the sun goes down the Halleys Comet keeps turning for night skiing
and snowboarding on Wombats Ramble. Night skiing is open from 6pm - 9pm
(weather permitting) and costs just $20 for adults or $10 for kids up to 17.
THURSDAY - NIGHT SHOW SPECTACULAR
The Village Bowl comes alive throughout July and August with an incredible night
show spectacular! Set under the Summit lights, the show features some of Falls
Creek’s most accomplished skiers, boarders and snow vehicle operators. Visit the
Bowl at 8pm for the start of the show.

Falls Creek is one of Australia’s most exciting alpine mountain bike parks. Falls Creek
was recently voted the ‘most appealing element’ of the existing High Country MTB
offer. Visit between November and April to ride over 40km of flowing singletrack in
pristine landscape. The park is ideal for intermediates and beginners but there are

challenges for the advanced as well. All trails start and finish within the resort and
weekend bike shuttles make for endless rides without the uphill grind.
ROAD CYCLING
The road to Falls Creek features challenging climbs, an awesome backdrop and
finishes at a village as cycle-friendly as they come. Riding Falls Creek is a dream,
it’s no wonder one of the world’s top ten best Sportives and Grand Fondos is held
here with the Peaks Challenge event.
TRAIL RUNNING & HIKING
At over 1600m, Falls Creek Is arguably the nation’s best altitude training location.
There are 45km+ of National Park trails plus the 250ha Rocky Valley Lake is a
feature you don’t find just anywhere. A major highlight is The 37km Falls to Hotham
Alpine Crossing – a 3 day, 2 night adventure trek between the two alpine resorts.
With eco-friendly camping platforms and an alternate single day route this is a
challenging yet achievable addition to any bucket list.
