In October 2021 the famous Whitsunday Rendezvous is back! After a ‘Covid pause’ this popular fun event promises to
be special – and we’d love you to join us!
Held from 22 - 30 October, you can join on your own boat, charter a cabin or charter a whole yacht. This year we are
taking it up a notch with the White on Whitehaven Long Lunch by Fish D’Vine – guaranteed to make this event truly
memorable.
Co-hosted by Multihull Solutions, The Yacht Sales Co and Mariner Boating, this week of casual carousing on the water
has been an enjoyable sailing event in the bi-annual calendar. Combine cruising the idyllic Whitsunday Islands with a
varied social program and some great prizes.
The rendezvous is a unique combination of sailing comradery and social engagements. The sailing itinerary includes
frequent stops for fun social functions and private relaxation. Competition for the special prizes during the blindfolded
dinghy sprint, figure head competition and time trial can become a fierce battle!
BYO BOAT OR CHARTER
In 2021 we have flexible joining options, you can bring your own yacht or charter a cabin or whole yacht.
1. Bring your own boat and pay a participation fee:
The entry fee for this year’s Whitsunday Rendezvous will be $699 per person (list of inclusions below).
2. Charter:

There are only three rules for the event:
1. Have a good time.
2. Sail safely.

This is a draft version of the event itinerary to give you an indication of the activities planned. A
more detailed, final version will be provided to you closer to the event date. This itinerary is
subject to change depending on prevailing weather conditions:
Day 1 – Friday 22 October
The program will start and finish at the Coral Sea Marina in Airlie Beach. Join us for
welcome drinks and canapes in the all-new Look Out Lounge where we’ll get the party
started. A compulsory event briefing will also be part of the evening.
Spend the evening onboard your yacht in the marina.
Day 2 – Saturday 23rd October
Mid-morning we will sail from Airlie Beach to Nara Inlet. Nara Inlet is a beautiful fjord like
inlet, featuring ancient Ngaro Aboriginal cave paintings. Take a bush walk and enjoy views
over the inlet or walk to the top of the waterfall which is spectacular after heavy rains.
Day 3 – Sunday 24th October
From Nara Inlet we’ll sail to Cid Harbour. The scenic walking track from Sawmill Beach to
Dugong Beach is not too strenuous. If you are fit and have the whole day, consider a walk
to Whitsunday Peak for spectacular views over The Whitsundays. This anchorage is
teeming with turtles and you will also spot sea eagles and the occasional dugong!
Day 4 – Monday 25th October
Spend a leisurely day sailing Whitsunday Islands National Park, recommended stops
include Mays Bay and Gulnare Inlet.
If you wish to visit Hamilton Island today, we will pre-book berthing for you. If you do visit
Hamilton Island, sunset drinks at One Tree Hill are a highlight.
Day 5 – Tuesday 26th October
Spend the day at the iconic Whitehaven Beach and enjoy a spectacular long lunch on one
of Queensland’s most magnificent beaches. White on Whitehaven Long Lunch is sure to be
the culinary highlight of the week. Lunch will be prepared and presented by Fish D’Vine.
Welcome cocktail, beer, wine and soft drink are also included. There will be protection and
facilities on the beach.
Day 6 – Wednesday 27th October
Sail to Cateran Bay on Border Island. Cateran Bay offers great snorkeling and diving as well
as a pretty beach accessible at high tide. There is a beautiful walk with magnificent views.

This morning we’ll sail from Cateran Bay to Butterfly Bay, a great place to snorkel or dive.
From Butterfly you can also dinghy around to Maureen’s Cove for more beautiful
snorkeling and diving. There is an abundance of fish and corals that can take you days to
explore.
Day 8 – Friday 29th October
Sail at leisure back to Airlie Beach and join us for a final night themed event at Sorrento
Restaurant. Spend the night on board your yacht in the marina.
Day 9 – Saturday 30th October
Say goodbye to all your new friends and continue onward with your adventures.
The itinerary will be dotted with memorable social functions including a blindfolded dinghy
sprint, figure head competition and time trial.

Payment and forms are due by the 24 September 2021. Remember numbers are limited so don’t delay!
We reserve the right to cancel the event at any stage should minimum numbers not be reached. In this
case entrants would receive a full refund.
Cancellation policy:
• Outside 14 days = full refund
• 5 – 13 days = 50% refund
• 0 – 4 days = no refund.
COVID-19:
We reserve the right to cancel the event if government regulations change due to COVID-19 restrictions
making the event unable to go ahead. In this case, entrants will receive a full refund.
DECLARATION:

accept and all agree with the terms on the attached “Assumption of Risk and Indemnity Agreement”

I understand that this event is subject to prevailing weather conditions and the itinerary may change
to suit local conditions. I also understand that in the case of limited entrants the event may be
cancelled at any stage. If I choose to cancel, I understand the cancellation policy as above. We agree to

INDEMNITY AGREEMENT EVENT: WHITSUNDAY RENDEZVOUS

This assumption of risk and indemnity agreement must be:
1. Signed by participants of the Whitsunday Rendezvous
2. Returned before 24 September 2021

I, the person whose signature appears below, whether a vessel owner, vessel co‐owner, skipper,
crew, supernumery, racer or cruiser, media, or any other form of participant or entrant or attendee,
acknowledge that the event carries with it risks to life, limb and property from time to time due to
all manner of unknown, known, foreseeable and unforeseeable events, whether from persons,
animals, weather, temperatures, property or other range of circumstances including the myriad
range of risks arising from racing and cruising on waters.
I agree to participate in the event accepting that there are the said risks.
I agree to now and forever hold harmless The Yacht Sale s Co and Multihull Solutions, its
executors, administrators and assigns, and to indemnify and keep indemnified The Yacht Sa les C o
and Multihull Solutions against any claim that I or my administrators executors or assigns may have
incidental to the event and as to any injurious effect to any life, limb or property (whether to my life,
limb or property or caused by me to others life, limb or property) whether by claim, damages,
compensation, suits, actions or demands and further agree that this indemnity shall be a complete
bar to any action, claim or demand or similar.
I agree to assume full responsibility for all matter described in the immediate preceding paragraphs.
In this agreement Multihull Solutions includes Greensphere Pty Ltd Trading as The Yacht Sa les
Co and Multihull Solutions, it’s employees and contractors and agents, its representatives, sponsors
of the event, and all and any other individuals or entities reasonably considered to be of or
incidental to the holding of the event.
(This assumption of risk and indemnity agreement is binding upon all persons participating in the
event who do not sign this document but will be reasonably considered to have become aware of
the document and its meaning and effect by receipt of or access to entry kits including packs made
available to skippers/yacht owners.)

BERTHING:
Please note you will need to arrange your own berthing for the nights of the 22nd and 29th October. It is
advisable to do this as soon as possible to ensure your berth is secured for the event.

WINING AND DINING:
The fees set out in the entry form cover welcome drinks and cocktail dinner on the first night,
White on Whitehaven Long Table Lunch, and the final night dinner in Airlie Beach. Before
you set sail please ensure you have catered for your crew for all meals and beverages not included
in the event.
WHAT TO BRING AND WEAR:
Casual attire is all that is required for the entire event. Swimwear and lots of sunscreen essential.
Be sure to bring your white smart casual dress for the White On Whitehaven Long Lunch as well as
dress up outfits for the themed night at the Sorrento Restaurant (theme TBC closer to the date). Also,
any other games or gear you will need to make the week enjoyable.
You will be given your welcome kits on the Friday at the Welcome Party and Briefing. This will include
a name badge, which we would appreciate that you wear at all social functions during the event.
COMMITTEE VESSEL / LEAD BOAT:
The committee vessel will be the boat flying numerous The Yacht Sales Co and Multihull Solutions
flags and banners.
RADIO CHANNEL & DAILY SCHEDULE:
All communication will be via VHF radio. Each morning we will conduct a Daily Sched to confirm
our daily itinerary. PLEASE NOTE: The itinerary published is a DRAFT only and is subject to change
depending on prevailing weather conditions.
