MULTIANNUAL FINANCIAL FRAMEWORK Programmes having provisions aiming at reinforcing SMEs: • REACT-EU: will provide provision of working capital for SMEs • Adjusted cohesion policy programmes: will assist SMEs through investments • Just Transition Fund: will support the re-skilling of workers • InvestEU: will provide crucial support to companies and will increase the risk-taking capacity of the EIB Group and NPBs • Strategic Investment Facility (part of InvestEU): will invest in key value chains • Solvency Support Instrument: will offer partial guarantees against losses which will raise private investment for sound companies put at risk by the crisis • Summary created by EUROCITIES here
WEBINAR ON 25 JUNE: NEXT EU BUDGET Aim: What’s in it for cities? It will provide an overview of the main feature of the overall EU budget proposals for 2021-2027 and focus on some of the upcoming funding programmes of interest for cities, including: Erasmus, LIFE, Digital Europe, and Horizon Europe. CITY DIALOGUE ON 30 JUNE: ECONOMIC RECOVERY Aim: What’s the role of cities in the economic recovery? • The city dialogue will present how cities are working on recovery plans • The city dialogue will be a discussion on the role of cities in the Green recovery of the EU economy, with a special focus on the EU Recovery Plan and the Roadmap for the Recovery.
