Signing up for myGov and recording your job search
efforts on Jobsearch
MyGov is a secure way to manage your employment service and access other
government services online.

Head to: my.gov.au to sign up or
visit: jobsearch.gov.au/help-with-mygov for more information.

Make sure to link Jobsearch to your MyGov account, so that they are accessible
with one login and one password.

When you use JobSearch to apply for jobs, this reduces the need to supply
written evidence of jobs you have applied for and helps you satisfy your
Government compliance requirements. Linking myGov and Jobsearch will also
help you report on this. Information about your job search efforts will be available
for your consultant to see and they can give you advice about your job seeking.

Registering for
Our unique job searching portal hosts over 125,000 positions a year that you
have first access to. MAXConnect matches you with vacancies based on your
profile allowing immediate access to the right opportunities. Start your job search
now by registering for MAXConnect and completing your profile to be ready for
your first appointment with us. MAXConnect has helpful information and blogs
all about looking for work, community services and links to further assistance.

the appropriate support, being employed is the best pathway to
independence and success.

What help can you expect?
We will assess your strengths, transferable skills and challenges to help:

 ›   Plan what support you may need while working

We will provide a support team that understands your individual needs.

Engagement and Support
We will keep in contact with you using phone and email at regular intervals to help:
 ›   Keep you motivated
 ›   Identify suitable training
 ›   Understand workplace expectations
 ›   Time management, routine and goal setting
 ›   Help identify and arrange (1 month ahead) a suitable Work for
     the Dole (WfD) activity
 ›   A mid-point review and monthly phone contact while in WfD
Assistance into Work
We will support you to find and place you directly into work
 ›   Provide access to tools and techniques to help you find your own job
 ›   Work with local training providers to develop your skills to meet
     employer requirements
 ›   Send you job alerts using email and SMS

Supporting you while in Work
We will support you via phone, on-line or workplace visits to help you perform
at your best in your new role – even if you find the job yourself.
Other support options can include:
 ›   Help you sustain work through specialised workplace orientated support
     from our team of Allied Health professionals
 ›   Contact your new Employer to confirm negotiated supports,
     inductions and training
 ›   Assist with communication, expectations, teamwork and feedback
