PROVIDING 5 STAR SERVICE QUALITY & 5-STAR TIPS Being a 5-Star Driver-Partner At the end of every trip you will have the opportunity to rate your rider from 1-5 stars, and they can rate your service as their driver. The quality of the service provided by Uber driver-partners is imporant. To help you maximise your ratings, here are a number of tips compiled by existing partners and riders. 5-Star Uber driver-partners: ü Have mints, water and spare chargers in the car ü Keep the car perfectly clean, inside and out ü Keep the car smelling fresh ü Present themselves cleanly and professionally ü Always ask the rider if they have a preferred route ü Offer friendly service with a smile ü Offer riders a choice of music The following should be avoided or your access to the platform may be removed: û Innapropriate behaviour or conversation with a rider û Contacting a rider unneccesarily after a trip û Using your phone to talk or text whilst driving û Requesting cash from a rider û Driving on the wrong account or in the wrong vehicle û Having another person other than your rider/s in the vehicle To maintain the high standard of service provided by driver-partners there is a minimum ratings requirement of 4.6 or above. If your average rating is continually below this level your account may be deactivated. Sticking to the above tips is the best way to ensure you provide 5-Star service to your riders for years to come. FAQS When do I get paid? The pay cycle runs from 4am Monday to 4am the following Monday. You will receive a summary of your earnings each week and payment is typically in your account by Thursday of each week. You can update your bank details by logging into your partner dashboard at t.uber.com/login What if I have an issue with a trip? Simply select ‘NEED HELP’ in your trip history. This will bring up a list of options for you to select. Select the most relevant option and this will notify our 24/7 support team who will help resolve any issues, big or small. Are Tolls included in the fare? Toll costs will be billed to the rider. We recommend having an up to date electronic toll account, as we will reimburse you for the standard cost of the toll. You can view any tolls in the ‘Earnings’ section in the partner app. If the toll is not listed, head to your trip history and hit ‘need help’ on the trip with the missing toll. Where can I pick up and drop off riders? You are able to pick up and drop off riders anywhere that is safe and legal to do so. Avoid stopping in clearways, taxi ranks, yellow lines, bus stops, etc. as this may incur a traffic penalty. If your rider requests from an area you are not permitted to stop, simply give them a call and ask that they come to a nearby location where it is safe and legal to pick up or drop off. How do riders contact Uber? If riders need to contact Uber, they can do so in a number of easy ways. Riders can either reply to their email receipt, select ‘NEED HELP’ on the trip in their rider app, email support@uber.com, or head to help.uber.com. Do I need to allow a service animal in my car? Yes, to comply with regulations you must allow service animals, such as seeing- eye dogs, in your vehicle. What about tax? Please remember that Uber is not a tax advisor. PARTNER REQUIREMENTS VEHICLE REQUIREMENTS • 9 years or less (2006 or newer) • 4 doors & seat between 4-7 passengers • In excellent condition • Rental, leased or vehicles registered to a trust are not permitted • Salvaged or ex-taxi vehicles are not permitted DRIVER LICENCE • Open QLD Driver Licence • Australian Licence for 1 year or more • 21 years of age or older INSURANCE • Comprehensive or Third Party Property • Be a listed driver on the policy • Submit your Certificate of Currency DRIVER AUTHORISATION • Complete a commercial standards medical with your GP (t.uber.com/qldmedical) • Apply for a General Driver Authorisation for 5 years • We will also accept Taxi, Limo or Scheduled categories of Driver Authorisation • Submit Medical and DA application at your local Department of Transport office • Typically takes 1 - 2 weeks to be approved • Your card will arrive at a later date - but you can request an interim authority to get on the road faster!
