Reemployment Assistance Employ Florida (EF) Registration To Begin the registration process: 1. Go to “EmployFlorida.com” and create an account. 2. Complete the Background Wizard 3. Create or upload your resume. 4. Able to conduct a Job search
EF- Full Registration What’s Considered Full Registration? Full registration includes: ❑ Address ❑ Phone number ❑ Email address ❑ Resume- You may upload a resume in the system; if you do not have a resume, you may create a resume using the Background Wizard.
Job Search in EF How To Job Search in EF? You MUST have a completed profile and an active resume in EF in order to apply for positions. • Quick Search- Job searching using keywords. Example: “Customer Service”, “Front desk”…etc.. • Gold Star Jobs- Job requisitions listed with a gold star ( ) are preferred employers. • How To Apply- There are multiple ways to apply. Options include link to the application on the employer’s website, a referral made to the employer with your resume, fax, email or an address to a location to apply in person.
Connect How To File A Claim? ❑ File, via internet, at www.floridajobs.org ❑ Call 1-800-204-2418, if you need assistance or have questions about your claim ❑ Call 1-800-681-8102, if you need assistance filing a claim online because of legal reasons, computer illiteracy, language barriers, or disabilities ❑ Contact via email at www.floridajobs.org/applications/uccontactus/ ❑ Please note: CSTB staff cannot address or answer any Reemployment Assistance questions we are here to guide you through your claim process.
Connect (cont’d) How To File A Claim? ❑ In order to apply for UC benefits you will need the following documents readily accessible: ❑ If candidate is a Veteran, you will need your DD214 documents, (Briefly explain Priority of Service in a one stop setting) ❑ Drivers License/State ID/Alien Registration Card ❑ Last 18 months of work history information (Name of Company, job title, address etc.) ❑ Routing number for checking account or you can choose to have a debit card sent to you. Please note if you decide to use the “Eppi” debit card, they will charge fees for using the card.
Connect (cont’d) How Does Reemployment Assistance Work? • The maximum number of weeks a claimant could receive will be 12 weeks. • The maximum benefit amount could be $275 a week. You can elect to take taxes out now or pay later at the end of the year. • Once completed with the application you will receive a wage determination document in about 7-10 days after completing the application.
Trade Adjustment Assistance (TAA) About TAA ▪ Participants previous employment must have relocated out of the United States; ▪ TAA is an employment focused program, not a training program; ▪ The end of training should be the start of career services such as: resume development, job search, interviewing etc. ▪ TAA recipients can attend schools NOT listed on the local WIOA Targeted Occupation List (We will talk about this list more later);

ON-THE-JOB TRAINING (OJT) ❑ OJT is one of CareerSource Tampa Bay’s work-based learning programs that works to solve the problem faced by many Americans; it is hard to get a job without work experience, and hard to get experience without a job. ❑ OJT program aides both WIOA eligible career seekers and Hillsborough employers in filling open positions. Unlike school- based learning, OJT allows employers to hire career seekers and use their own staff and training methods to educate new employees on skills needed to be successful on the job. ❑ OJT positions must be full-time permanent and on current Region Targeted Occupations List.
