DESIGN All core courses emphasize projects and design processes of the Fairview Advantage
PROCESS • At the high school, students need to acquire knowledge, skills, and study habits that provide a foundation for college-level academics. • Students earn A, B, C, or F. • No “rungs on the ladder to mastery” of standards should be missed. • We do not give D’s. D’s mean “missed rungs” and eventual problems. We keep working until a minimum of C is achieved. If the student does not meet performance expectations by the end of the school year, the student will receive an F for the course. • Grades are not averaged quarterly but remain “work in progress” over the course of a school year. Continuous improvement is key at ALL levels of achievement.
