What we do… PAM Our Mission Statement Promote the quality, growth and advancement of the Ralston Valley High School Instrumental Music Programs, it’s students and faculty, morally, physically and financially through the dedicated volunteering of our personal time. We support and provide assistance We exist to support the instrumental music programs beyond what is provided by the JEFFCO School District & RVHS budget & student fees. Through our dedicated volunteering we provide the additional financial support and resources needed to sustain and grow the dynamic instrumental program opportunities and offerings available at Ralston Valley High School.

What we fund… ERIK RVMB Budget -- 2019 / 2020 Total Budget ~$80,000 this year Major Expenses (approximate) - Marching/Color Guard/Concert Band - Orchestra - End of year Parties and Banquets: $6,500 Marching Season Staff: $26,000 Meals/Refreshments: $500 - Misc. Expenses (entry fees, awards, etc): $3,500 Meals/Refreshments: $4,500 Transportation: $300 - Scholarships: $1000 Transportation & Music: $400 Trailer Repair/Maintenance: $9,000 Instrument Repair: $500 Uniforms: $4,500 Attire: $1,500 Props/Flags: $6,000 Clinics and Performances: $5000 Music and Choreography: $2,300 Instrument Repair: $1,000 Budget available to all members
How we fund it … ERIK How do we fund the program? School District Budget School Budget Student Fees - $75 – paid at registration NOTE: This does not cover Pre-Season band camp; $250 additional event Primarily funded via this RV Music Boosters community Fair Share - $37,500 (MB) + $7,500 (Orch.) Sponsorship - $5,000 Fundraising - $23,000 Contributions - $1,000 Events - $13,000
Fair Share ERIK Marching Band is a machine that rolls from one competition / football game to the next…requiring: - customized music & drill, clinicians, preparation, uniforms, props, transportation, food, snacks, water… and $$$’s!!! Similarly, Orchestra requires fine attention to detail: - music, clinicians, preparation, concert dress, transportation… and $$$!!! In order to support budget expenses, students and families are asked to pay a portion of the costs, or a “Fair Share”. In addition, the RVMB works to raise money through sponsorships and fundraisers year-round to support the music program. For Marching Band, “Fair Share” is $375 per student. For Orchestra, “Fair Share” is $100 per student. NOTE: Students in BOTH programs will only have to pay the Marching Band Fair Share ** There are numerous opportunities throughout the year to raise funds for your students Fair Share
Sponsorship KYE Opportunities: Silver Level Sponsorship $ 5000 Navy Level Sponsorship $ 2500 Caroline Blue Level Sponsorship $ 1000 Friends and Family $ 500 Supporting Member (non-student, non-family) $ 100 Benefits: Pending further discussion with school district and others to ensure compliance with all regulations, benefits may include recognition in programs, on vehicles or trailers, at events, etc. Sponsorship partner suggestions are welcome!

How YOU fund it … PAM Fair Share 2019–20 Fair Share amount is: $375 for Marching Band / $100 for Orchestra Ways to pay Fair Share: 1. Write a check to RVMB for full amount 2. Pay in 5 easy payments (MB = $75 or Orch = $20 – June, July, August, Sept., Oct.) 3. Enroll in the Scrips Gift Cards program, buy GC’s and spend them like regular money (See Alisa for details) 4. Participate in “Fair Share” Fundraisers throughout the year (such as Butter Braids) 5. Continue to use your King Soopers rewards card and coordinate directly with Traci Webster & Erik Guthrie 6. Get out and SELL SELL SELL those Butter Braids 7. Secure a Sponsor 8. Or any combination of above

How do I get involved … PAM There are many ways YOU can help the Band. We are loading & unloading, feeding, watering, carrying, pushing, and most of all CHEERING! Parents do the bulk of this work that goes on behind the scenes while the students are busy readying for their performance. Sound like fun? WE NEED YOU! Visit the volunteer table and join our crew! We guarantee you will have have fun; and even though they won’t admit it, your student will love having you there!
We Need Volunteers PAM Hospitality - responsible for “feeding, snacking & watering” the students ◦ There are lots of ways to get involved with Hospitality. ◦ Always a need people to help before, during and after events. ◦ Help Wanted: cooks, bakers, servers, "watering" crew and clean-up help ◦ Accommodations made for: gluten free, peanut free, vegetarian Transportation – responsible for transporting any equipment needed ◦ We have 2 equipment trailers and 1 Hospitality trailer. ◦ Volunteers needed to use their vehicles to pull the trailers to & from competitions ◦ See us at the Volunteer Table for more information. PIT & Props – responsible for getting our equipment on & off the field ◦ Volunteers needed to load/unload PIT instruments & equipment on trailers; as well as on & off the field during competitions. ◦ Volunteers needed to load/unload Props on trailers; as well as on & off the field during competitions. ◦ See Chris or Greg P. at the Volunteer Table for more information.
