PRESS & TYPE ROOMS Our private rooms take their names from the building’s illustrious past as the home of The Morning Post newspaper. From our position at the west end of Fleet Street, the daily paper was written, edited and printed within our distinctive Edwardian building until 1927. Having witnessed many moments in history, our private spaces now offer the perfect spot in which to celebrate your historic moment. The Press & Type Rooms are adjacent to each other overlooking the Aldwych and can be used separately for more intimate events or combined together for larger weddings. These charming spaces are full of natural daylight with views onto the dynamic backdrop of London life. The versatile rooms can accommodate up to 70 guests for a wedding ceremony and 50 guests for a seated wedding breakfast.
ENEKO BASQUE KITCHEN & BAR Eneko Basque Kitchen & Bar is the modern Basque restaurant from the three Michelin-starred chef Eneko Atxa. With playful dishes and decadent desserts, the restaurant showcases a fresh and innovative take on traditional Basque cuisine from northern Spain. The space is relaxed, warm and inviting. With its distinct London edge, it also retains a touch of the beautiful Basque region, with many materials sourced from Spanish craftsmen. The floating mezzanine bar offers a carefully curated Spanish wine list, including wines from Eneko’s family winery near Bilbao. Eneko Basque Kitchen & Bar is available for exclusive hire, seating 110 guests or 150 guests for a standing reception.
THE TERRACE SUITE Our Terrace Suite provides the perfect individual space for an intimate wedding ceremony or exclusive dinner. This enchanting suite offers a sophisticated backdrop with elegant décor in neutral, pastel colours. Share time with close family and friends in this romantic space complete with a sunny terrace and view over the Aldwych. The Terrace Suite accommodates up to 15 people for a small ceremony.
THE LIBRARY The Library is an elegant, stylish area located on the ground floor of the hotel. The relaxed, lounge-style space is great for drinks receptions with up to 50 guests and features comfortable sofas and stunning floral arrangements. The split-level Library also boasts an eclectic collection of beautiful books and art, featuring works from some of the fastest rising stars of today’s art scene.
