The MISSION of JAS is to present and preserve jazz and related forms of music through world-class performances, events and education programs. JAS ASPEN SNOWMASS 2018 HIGHLIGHTS JAS JUNE EXPERIENCE (JUNE 21-30): includes three nights of headline concerts at the magnificent Benedict Music Tent in Aspen, CO, with a free lawn party taking place nightly on the grounds, intimate JAS Café jazz performances rooftop at the Aspen Art Museum and Downstairs at The Little Nell, and more. Past performers include: Diana Ross, Chicago, Steve Winwood, Diana Krall, Joe Cocker, Harry Connick Jr., Jackson Browne, Sheryl Crow and many more. JAS LABOR DAY EXPERIENCE (AUG. 31-SEPT 2.): three days of world-class music taking place in Snowmass, CO with crowds of up to 10,000/per day. The combination of music and high-end hospitality taking place in an unparalleled natural setting, sets JAS apart from other large music festivals. Past performers include: Maroon 5, Stevie Wonder, No Doubt, The Black Eyed Peas, Keith Urban, Bob Dylan, OneRepublic, Zac Brown Band, Jack Johnson, Neil Young, Allman Brothers Band and many more. JAS CAFÉ: highly successful winter and summer series of intimate jazz and world performances taking place in multiple venues: on the beautiful rooftop of the Aspen Art Museum; and downstairs at both the Cooking School of Aspen and The Little Nell, where JAS has created a sophisticated candlelit nightclub setting like that found in the coolest back door clubs of New York. Past performers include: Lisa Fischer, Gregory Porter, Hiromi, Eliane Elias, Cory Henry, Jacob Collier, Joey Alexander and many more. JAS IN-SCHOOLS JAS is a 501c3 organization, whose event proceeds benefit JAS’ numerous music education and performance programs. JAS Local Education Initiatives complement existing public school music programs and replace programs where schools suffer losses in music education. The goal is to ensure that these schools maintain band and music programs in their curriculum. Since 1996 JAS has contributed over $7 million to music education!

J AS IN -S CHOO L S EDUCATING STUDENTS JAS Local Education Initiatives complement existing public school music programs and replace programs where schools suffer losses in music education. The goal is to ensure that these schools maintain band and music programs in their curriculum. In 2015 over 1,700 students were reached through JAS LEI programming!
