The 2015 version of the Primary School Football Draw brings together 89 teams from 24 participating schools. Most schools have been placed in their requested divisions and at certain fields, with requested times and supervision requirements being meet. Fairview Heights can only play at 1:45 So that week you may need an extra staff member, thought Fairview Heights will have a staff member per team to assist each week. Please take the time to find where your teams have been placed for this year’s competition. In most instances two teams that can be supervised by the same teacher at the one or nearby venue. Unfortunately, some schools have been placed at different venues some weeks – although I have done my best to limit this. You may find your school is set down to play another school more than once during the term and this is due to either how many are in the division or to cater for the requests of schools. I have tried to avoid byes in the draw to play ‘friendly’ matches across divisions. If your team as a bye I have attempted to place them on a field where they can train or invite a school that has finished playing to play. The only fields that will require agility poles or markers (from your school) to substitute goals is highlighted Middle Ridge 3. Coaches are advised to take markers with them to games in the event that they are required to mark the field or be used as goals for the game. In the event that the field is smaller or bigger than usual, it will be left to the discretion of coaches if they wish to reduce or increase the number of players that take the field. Please check that I have included every one of your schools’ teams in the weekly draw. If there is an error, please alert this to me ASAP, so amendments can be made. For each week, you will see a number of spare fields. These will be used as ‘emergency venues’. Any changes to game times as listed must have the consent of the opposition team coach. Games are scheduled to start at 1:00 pm and 1:45 pm. If playing at a school ground, you may wish to contact the opposition school for an earlier starting time for the first game. Please allow 20 minute halves and 5 minutes half time and interval between games. Changes to the length of games should be in consultation with the opposition coach. If your school suddenly becomes unavailable to play one week, YOUR SCHOOL must make contact with the opposition school(s) to inform them of your school’s absence. If you have any questions, queries or spot some ‘glitches’ relating to the draw or placement of teams, please contact me. I thank all of those schools that have kindly allowed us to use their school ovals. Please ensure that these grounds are left as found when your teams are using that facility.
