The City of Boston was proud to host the first annual Boston Unity Cup this summer. This city-wide soccer tournament provided an opportunity to celebrate cultures and nationalities of Bostonians in an environment that promoted sportsmanship, collaboration and acceptance. -Mayor Martin J. THE UNITY CUP The Boston Unity Cup is a city-wide adult soccer tournament designed to bring together Boston's diverse community around a shared passion for sport. The Boston Unity Cup is a 7v7 World Cup-inspired tournament for adult soccer players. Team are organized into flag-bearing nations made up of Bostonians with heritage from that country. Each tournament consists of group and SAVE THE DATE knockout round stages. 2019 Boston Unity Cup July 12-14 2019 will feature a tournament field made of up of: Moakley Park in Boston • Men’s Division: 20 Nations/Teams (Up From 16 Nations in 2018!) • Women’s Division: 8 Nations/Teams (New for 2019!) Off the field, the tournament promotes cultural community engagement featuring foods, arts, and music. Our partners and sponsors are able to activate in fun interactive ways and Boston Unity Youth Jamboree.

THE POWER OF SOCCER Due to its popularity across the world, soccer is a common language that brings together cultures and ethnicities in a way like no other sport or event. Participants and teams can honor their own culture while simultaneously connecting and creating camaraderie with cultures foreign to them.
