IRSCL2021: Congress format IRSCL2021: Aesthetic and Pedagogic Entanglements will be taking place in Santiago de Chile in 2021. IRSCL2021 will be a hybrid congress. In tandem with the on-site congress, IRSCL2021 will feature a satellite of online presentations meant to facilitate the participation of those who, for one reason or another, may not be able to be with us on-site. IRSCL2021: Presentation Modalities Participants will be able to apply either individually or as part of a preformed panel. Once the review and selection process has ended, individual presentations will be grouped with each other according to thematic affinities in order to form an panel. Participants will be able to present either online or on-site. Aside from online and on-site modalities, IRSCL2021 will include Pecha Kucha presenta- tions. Participants must choose between presenting in the Pechakucha format or the traditio- nal format. Disclaimer: Preformed Pecha Kucha panel applications will not be allowed. Those who wish to present a Pecha Kucha must apply individually. Traditional Oral Presentation: Traditional Oral presentations: A 20-minute oral presentation with visual aid (ppt or Canva) in English. Pecha Kucha: As a way of acknowledging the importance of the visual in our academic field, IRSCL2021 will include Pecha Kucha presentations. Pecha Kucha is a modality of fast-track oral presentation that challenges presenters to lay out information in a succinct and highly vi- sual manner— it encourages the use of images instead of plain text.Traditional Pecha Kuchas are six minutes in length, and consist of twenty slides, to be presented in twenty seconds each.
