As Greenie Editor you would have an interest in writing but not necessarily a journalist background; be an organised person, have an eye for detail and reasonable ability on a computer. If you would like to find out more call Megan on 027 279 1128 or one of the Business Association committee members WAIAU PA & CLAKRS BEACH BUSINESS ASSOCIATION Inc AGM March 10 2021 Clarks Beach Bowling Club Bar open 7.00pm Guest Speaker Grant Sharman 7.15pm AGM 7.45pm After being seriously injured in a school rugby game, GRANT SHARMAN discovered the rest of his life would be lived as a disabled person. His personality was such that he saw ‘opportunity’ rather than ‘handicap’ ahead of him, which meant that by 1980 he had completed his first mouth painting (after being encouraged by a fellow disabled foot and mouth painter.) Over the last four decades his painting career has brought considerable success. Sport was always a big part of Grant’s life. After playing wheelchair rugby for NZ, he captained and coached the Wheelblacks to a gold medal. Grant has been a director of Paralympics NZ, been involved in a number of charities such as CatWalk, Parafed Auckland, Attitude TV and Starjam. His hobbies include fishing, classic cars and Philatelie (stamps.) Everybody welcome at the AGM night and to hear Grant Sharman’s presentation. 3

Emergency vehicles If an emergency vehicle (such as an ambulance, fire engine or police car) is coming towards you or behind you, and is using sirens and/or flashing red, blue, or blue and red lights, you must pull over and, if necessary, stop and allow it to pass.
