Fish Stocking on Fox Lake To promote the recreational use of Fox Lake for fishing, the Fox Lake Preservation Organization (FLPO) in conjunction with the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) continues to commit itself to an extensive yearly fish-stocking program. For example, on October 2 at 10:30am, the FLPO worked with middle school students from the School for Agricultrual and Environmental Studies to release 6,000 perch and 4,000 crappies into Fox Lake at Town Park on Blackhawk Trail. The success of the annual fish-stocking program is made possible by fundraising events, donations, and FLPO membership dues. The gener- ous financial support and the time and effort of volunteers assure that Fox Lake remains a top-rated fishing lake. Fishing Fox Lake is continuing to earn its reputation as one of the top 10 fishing lakes in the state of Wisconsin. Abundant fish include Recreation perch, crappies, blue gills, muskie, northern, walleye and bass.
