ORGANIZING COMMITTEE AND RACE PRESENTATION
The event is organized by CMOutdoor ASD, the society that since 2015 manages the INTERNAZIONALI
D’ITALIA XCO MTB SERIES circuit, in collaboration with Team Todesco, XC Verona, Bike Evo and Bibike
ASD.
Joining the forces of many different teams to raise up the level of the event is the leitmotif of the
project “Pineta Sperane XCO”, the first stage of “Internazionali d’Italia Series 2023” circuit.
CM Outdoor found in San Zeno di Montagna Municipality a great partner to work with to create an
international XCO event to introduce the territory to the best world MTB athletes and bike enthusiasts.
On Saturday 18th March 2023, at the international race “Pineta Sperane XCO” patronized by UCI
(Union Cycliste Internationale) e FCI (Federazione Ciclistica Italiana), are expected athletes from over
twenty different world countries.
LOCATION
San Zeno di Montagna is a small village 40 km far from Verona. It is located at a height of 680 meters
on the slopes of Monte Baldo. San Zeno di Montagna is a natural terrace overlooking Lake Garda,
largest lake in Italy, easy to reach thanks to its proximity to A22 Brennero highway, A4 highway and
Verona airport.
The place is characterized by the mild mediterranean climate that allows enjoyment for the whole
year long and the ancient trails used in the past by the people to move across the region and now used
by lovers of outdoor sport.
In San Zeno di Montagna is possible to spend time in outdoor activities such as trekking and cycling
immersed in wooded areas of beech and chestnut trees and olive groves and, at the same time, enjoy
the beauties of the territory, rich in history, culture and food and wine traditions. Mountain bike
enthusiasts can perform in more than 200 kilometres of enduro, downhill and cross country trail.
The race circuit is completely placed in the natural park “Pineta Sperane” and characterized by a
mixture of dirt sections, rocks and stones that makes it an international level track.

The region where San Zeno is located it’s oriented to the tourism.
The teams will find plenty of structures where to book and they could choose in between different
types of accommodations in the surroundings.
Our advice to find the best deal is to use one of the online booking engines.

By Train
● Domegliara Railway station - 20 km
● Verona railway station - 35 km
● Peschiera del Garda railway station - 20 km
By car
● From east (Venice): A4/E70 Highway direction Verona/Affi/Brescia/Milano exit Peschiera del
Garda. Take the SP9 to San Zeno di Montagna.
● From ovest (Milan): A4/E64 Highway direction Venezia/Piacenza exit Peschiera del Garda.
Take the SP9 to San Zeno di Montagna.
● From north (Bolzano, Trento): A22/A45 Brennero Highway exit Affi/Lago di Garda Sud. Take
the SP9 to San Zeno di Montagna.
Caution: do not follow navigation information system information through “Lumini” to reach San
Zeno di Montagna. It is narrow and not easy for trucks and teams.

REGISTRATION
REGISTRATION FEES
The registration fee is €20.00 for men and for women (all categories). No registration fees are
expected for UCI MTB ELITE teams.
A fee of 10,00 will be asked to ALL RIDERS as a deposit for the chip that will be returned after the
race.
The registration fee payment will be done by bank transfer done in advance. (proof of payment will
be required)

Italian teams have to register their athletes by the FCI system ”FattoreK”

For foreign riders participation is by invitation. Team have to register riders on the web site:
https://www.internazionaliditaliaseries.it/en/registration/ and chose the race “Pineta Sperane XCO -
San Zeno di Montagna”.
The registration will close on Wednesday 15th March at 24:00 (CET).

Online, through pdf document available from the evening of Friday 17th March 2023 or printed in the
race office in PARK HOTEL JOLANDA – San Zeno di Montagna
START/FINISH AREA
START PROCEDURE
All the riders are asked to be in the call-up boxes 15 min before the call-up procedure. The start list
will be carried out according to last published XCO UCI Individual Ranking for the UCI categories and
by drawing lots for all the other riders.
ANTI-DOPING
The anti-doping station will take place in the Antidoping room placed at PARK HOTEL JOLANDA – San
Zeno di Montagna
SHOWERS AND BIKE WASHING
No showers are planned
The bike washing service will be at the venue with pressure washers.
TEAM AREAS
The Teams that want to book a space in the Team Area have to fill in the form on Internazionali d’Italia
series web page.

We ask the Teams to take care of the space needed for only one car/van they want to park close to
the Team Tent. All the other vehicles must be parked in the public parking.
Only the accredited teams are allowed to enter the Team Area.
FEED ZONE - TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE
Feeding and technical assistance is possible only in the Feed and Technical Zones. The access to the
FTZ will be allowed only to people with Pass.
Passes for the mechanical and feeding areas will be given to the teams during the riders registration.
Those without passes will not be able to use the service and consequently will be excluded from the
technical support area in accordance with UCI rules.
There will be a “neutral assistance zone” provided by Shimano.

11The Feeding and Technical area will be confirmed by the PCP at the Team Manager Meeting after the
course walk.
MEDICAL ASSISTANCE
Medical Services will be provided by at least n. 2 ambulance with 2 auxiliary medical personnel and 1
Race Doctor as in the Healthy plan approved by 112 and First Aid.
PARKING
The public parking will be located close to the race track
PRESS
The press room will be located at PARK HOTEL JOLANDA – San Zeno Montagna. Only the accredited
media (journalists/photographer/media) can go on the track and in the press room.
