COVID-19 & Medical
COVID-19 Reminders • If you develop possible COVID symptoms between now and when you travel, get tested for COVID and let the team physician know about the result • Reduce contacts 2 days prior to travel, wear a mask when travelling, wash your hands and sanitize your seat and surrounding area • Do NOT travel if feeling sick • Masks are mandatory when getting IST treatment (inside or outside) • Strongly recommended that you continue to wear a mask when indoors (please bring a supply of masks with you)
Pre-Travel PCR testing • You must do a pre-travel COVID PCR test within 72 hours before arrival to the Welcome Centre in Birmingham • CSC also recommends a separate test 5-10 days before the pre-travel test to allow time to complete isolation before travel in case of an unexpected positive - this can be a PCR test or a rapid test • If your test is positive, contact Dr. Sari Kraft (skraft@csiontario.ca, 647-627-7274) • There will be another PCR test on arrival at the Welcome Center
Covid-19 Precautions • Wear a mask whenever you are indoors, and outdoors when you cannot maintain social distance. Please bring your own supply of masks. • Wash/sanitize hands frequently. • Report any symptoms to IST.
Medications • Please bring an adequate supply of any prescription medications, supplements, and over-the- counter medications you use (e.g. tylenol, advil, allergy medications, anti-nausea medications, puffers, epipen). • Prescription medications should be in the original container from the pharmacy with a label that includes your name • There is a list of controlled medications in the UK at: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/controlled-drugs-list--2/list-of-most-commonly- encountered-drugs-currently-controlled-under-the-misuse-of-drugs-legislation. If you are on any of these medications then it is especially important to make sure you have the original label on the medication and that you don't bring more than a 3-month supply. • If you have a TUE, send a copy to skraft@csiontario.ca as they must be submitted to the Commonwealth Games TUE committee in advance.
