      Resume needs to quickly communicate the value you
      bring to an organization
      15 to 30 seconds
      Keep it simple
      Leave something to talk about in the interview
      Consider one page resume such as a ‘Novoresume’
      style
RESUME

 Key Elements:
      Be concise
      Highlight your successes – use bullet points & numerical data
      Use ‘North American Standard’ – i.e. no personal data, only 2-3 pages,
      etc.
      No duplication of information
      Explain gaps & only go back 15 years max.
      Web Research & Benchmark
      But be careful – there is a ton of bad advice out there!
RESUME

 The Details:
       Explain all gaps or not to explain all gaps
       Have friends or colleagues review
       Less is more – but make it impactful
       Keep pictures off, unless it is part of your job or you look fabulous!
       White space – use minimized margins
       Spelling & Grammar
       Present tense for current roles - Past tense for previous roles
       Formatting – Spacing, Font, Periods
       Send in pdf format unless asked otherwise
RESUME

 The Details:
       Include your home address
       One phone number that can be easily reached
       Appropriate email address

         i.e.: firstname.lastname@gmail.com

         Do not use your birth year in your email address i.e.
