JESSICA MOREL, LYRIC SOPRANO Born in Réunion Island, France, Jessica Morel studied at the Salva Voce International Institut in France. She studied Musicology at the Sorbonne University where she got the Capes. She continued exploring her singing in courses with Sylvia Kevorkian, Bernadette Mercier , Jory Vinikour, a coach at the Garnier and Bastille Opera Houses in Paris and Nathalie Dang a coach at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Paris. She received numerous diplomas from Accademia Lorenzo Perosi, Biella and Académie Internationale d’Eté de Nice under François Daudet, Bernard Mathern and Achille Lampo. Ms. Morel has won numerous competitions throughout Europe including, Maîtres du Chant Français, Concours International de l’Union des Femmes Artistes Musiciennes, Léopold Bellan-Paris, Concours Européen de Musique de Picardie, Torneo Internationale Di Musica. In August 2012, Ms. Morel won first place in the competition Concorso International “Nicola Martunucci” per voci nuove della lirica,” in Cervinara, Italy. Ms. Morel has performed recitals to great acclaim throughout Europe in such venues as Biella Academy (Italy), Cité International de Paris, The Porticcio Theatre (Corse), The Fontainebleau Castle, St Père Blanay Church, Bussy-Rabutin Castle (Bourgogne), Hosanna Tampon Church (Réunion), Habanna and Swan in Paris among others. Ms. Morel’s oratorio repertoire includes La Petite Messe Solennelle by Rossini, Stabat Mater by Pergolèse, Les Vêpres d’un confesseur by Mozart and Magnificat by Bach. Ms. Morel performed the role of Musetta in La Bohème (Puccini) at the theater of l’Acting and Mimi in La Bohème (Puccini), Manon (Massenet), and Micaëla in Carmen (G.Bizet) at the Vissi d’Arte Theater and at Waterloo Theater in Belgium. She interprets Belinda in Didon and Enée of Purcell in Lyon (France), the role of Antonia in the Hoffmann tales by Offenbach during the open day of the Massy Opera, Suzanne in the Marriage of Figaro of Mozart and Norina in the Don Pasquale of Donizetti in Reunion Island.
