However, we will be resuming our Thursday Communion Service in church from 18th February Sunday 14th February 11am Led by Jon Haines Talk: I will follow you Murray King Reading: Matthew 8: 1-22 Andy Anderson Prayers Vaughan Schulze Following on from this Sunday’s talk, some questions to chat through joyfully together, when meeting either 1:1 outside or on social media: • Why does it sometimes seem hard for Jesus and his Kingdom values to find a place in human lives? • Are there any areas of your life where you know Jesus wants to enter more fully? What is preventing this from happening? • Are there any areas in your life where you don’t believe Jesus can help/bring redemption? Why do you think that? Does today’s passage help? • Read the verses from the Sermon on the Mount again; is God trying to say something to you through one of these? Give him time and space to let Jesus’ words take hold in you.

Following some generous pledges the fund now stands at around £65,000 which is sufficient to proceed with the restoration of our bells this April! Ringers from other towers have kindly offered some help and finance towards the project. Pip Pawley has been incredibly busy over the last 18 months working with our architect before submitting detailed project plans to the Diocese. He has also agreed contracts with local tradesmen and specialists for moving the church clock, lowering the bells to the ground level, ringer chamber modifications, specialist decoration with lime wash, necessary electrical work and carpentry. If you’re interested in knowing more or helping, contact David Leworthy (07711 161024 bells@allsaintseastbourne.church) or Pip Pawley (07970 837955 pip@allsaintsbells.uk) Beachy Head Chaplaincy Vacancies BHC are recruiting for 2 new salaried Chaplaincy posts, one full time (37 hours), the other part-time (20 hours). If you are interested in applying for the post, please see www.bhct.org.uk for more information. Please pray for God ordained candidates to be called to apply for these vacancies. Liz Harrison Some may remember Liz Harrison, who used to attend All Saints’ in the 80s whilst her husband Robin was housemaster at Eastbourne College. It was with sadness when we learnt that she passed away on Saturday 6th February in Yorkshire, where she had moved recently to be closer to her daughter.
