Kia ora and welcome to 2019 at Burnham School. I would like to extend a very warm welcome to our new students who are settling in well and to wish them many happy years here. I’d also like to welcome our new teaching and support staff: Achievement - Angitu Tipene Walker, Chris Hall, Fi Laird and Maryse Vernon, and encourage you to take the opportunity to meet them at our Meet the Teacher evening on Wednesday 13 February. Our dedicated, experienced staff work tirelessly to provide the very best education for all the children. We aim to provide a warm caring environment where students can achieve their full potential academically, physically and socially. It’s a privilege to be in the role of Acting Principal while Sandra is seconded to the DHB for the next 18 months. It’s going to be a fun and busy term ahead and we will keep you up to date with events here at school. If you have any questions please feel free to make a time to see your classroom teacher or myself. Kind regards Marie Smith School Donations are Tax Deductible and receipts will be issued for all payments. As a school we strongly encourage you to pay the school donations, the money we collect is used to increase the number of teacher aides working in the classroom and playground during break times to support all our children. When paying for anything online it would be helpful if you could also email Trish on admin@burnham.school.nz to let her know that you have put a payment through and what it is for. This will assist Trish and reduce the time taken to keep the accounts up-to-date. PTA Meeting - 3.15pm on Thursday 7th February in the School Staffroom.
