Spend Your Summer at Providence!
WELCOME
We at Providence Academy invite you and your family to experience a variety of enriching and fun experiences
for students age 5 to those in the high school Class of 2023. Participants do not need to be enrolled at
Providence Academy to participate and may register for one activity or several. The PALS Camp is an excellent
option for students, age 5 through rising 6th graders, who want a full-day camp experience.
We promote active learning in a safe and comfortable environment by providing quality content, excellent
instructors, and a focus on faith in God and moral character. Most activities take place on the school’s beautiful
42-acre campus, conveniently located in Plymouth, allowing students to take advantage of the outstanding
available resources, including full athletic facilities, fully-equipped classrooms and a state-of-the-art performing
arts center.
Many of our programs reach enrollment capacity, so we encourage you to register as soon as possible at
providenceacademy.org/summer.

Dare to Draw
More than just an ordinary drawing program! In this amazing and fun camp, we’ll learn how to draw all sorts
of things, like animals, plants, faces, landscapes, and everything in between. We use an innovative step by step
method, where kids use simple shapes to create animals, landscapes, still life and more. We learn about contrast,
light/shadow, and volume among other exciting concepts. Take your own sketch book home at the end of camp.

Bling and Dazzle
Gems and sparkles are all part of this exhilarating camp! In this amazing camp we’ll paint, draw, sculpt and
collage adorable projects like cute animals, flowers and much more then we’ll embellish our masterpieces with
metallic and pearlescent colors, rhinestones, gems, and other materials to make it bling and dazzle. We’ll paint
on canvas, sculpt with clay, create a collage and we’ll even create an accessory to wear, among many other

Bible Study:Introduction to the Old Testament
Campers will be introduced to the Word of God in an overview of the "library" that is the Holy Bible with a
focus on the Old Testament by reading the greatest stories of salvation history before the birth of Jesus.
Students will receive a Bible, Bible tabs, and and a coloring handbook.

Creative Craft Camp
Join us for this fun and creative camp where we will be sharing exciting stories and craft projects with you!
Each day camp will begin with a short story. We will then put our creative minds to work in creating craft

Create-A-Mini-Musical
Over the course of the program, we write a story together – with the kids each picking their characters, and
collaboratively choosing the places we’ll ‘journey to’, followed by us writing dialogue (+plot bullet points, with
improvisation encouraged!) and songs together. Then we rehearse the miniature show, with me as their narrator
and guide from the piano or keyboard (which I can provide).
The final performances are fun and casual – kids perform mostly in groups, and sing their original songs all-
together, with the rare exception of solos and duets based on personal comfort. It is a very collaborative, fun
experience overall – but secretly builds communication skills, inspires creativity and adaptability, and helps kids
experience a “sky’s the limit” feeling when it comes to the creative arts. A final show open to family and friends
will take place at 11:30am on the final day of camp (Wednesday July 26th.)

Vinyard App Camp
VineyardAppCamp was built on the belief that early acts of entrepreneurship and understanding of technology
pay dividends down the road. All students have great app and website ideas; with mentoring to unlock their
ideas, they can begin their journey. Through building their own app, students learn to think critically about a
problem and identify ways to solve problems through technology. On top of our unique educational philosophy,
we build 21st century, distributedcomputing driven educational software to create an engaging online classroom
environment and help students get themost out of class. Our team consists of experienced Ivy-League coding
experts– from former/current managers at large tech firms and successful startups to graduates from top

all about food: how to make it, how to make it safely, and how to use it for good! You’ll learn about food safety,

easy to make and suitable for after-school cooking: including Brazilian brigadeiros (Chocolate Truffles), Japanese

Rocketry Course
Launch and watch your very own rocket speed 300 feet into the air! Then it is yours to take home! Students will
make and take home multiple rockets of varying difficulty throughout this session. We will use these rockets and

SKYHAWKS
SkyHawks provides a wide variety of fun, safe and positive programs that emphasize critical lessons in sports
and life, such as teamwork, respect and sportsmanship. All participants receive a medal. Programs are designed to
give each child a positive introduction into sports while fostering a lifelong love for an active and healthy lifestyle.
Their patient and knowledgeable staff use a variety of skill-building games and activities to give each athlete
a complete understanding and overview of the sport. Participants should wear appropriate clothing, shoes, and
sunscreen and bring two snacks and a water bottle.
Soccer
SkyHawks was founded as a soccer club in 1979. Thirty years later, we are still the number one choice for
parents looking to introduce their children to the fundamentals of the world’s most popular sport. Using our
progressive curriculum, your young athlete will gain the technical skills and sport knowledge required for the
next step into soccer. Designed for beginner and intermediate players, this camp focuses on dribbling, passing,

Flag Football
SkyHawks Flag Football is the perfect program for young athletes who want a complete introduction to
“America’s Game” or for those who simply want to brush up on their skills in preparation for league play.
Through our “skill of the day” activities, campers will learn skills on both sides of the ball including the core
components of passing, catching, and de-flagging or defensive positioning – all presented in a fun and positive
environment. SkyHawks Flag Football is recommended for beginning to intermediate athletes.
The week ends with the SkyHawks Super Bowl, giving participants a chance to showcase their skills on the
gridiron!

fun-filled camp. All aspects of the game are taught through drills and exercises that focus on passing, setting,

Our multi-sport camp is designed to introduce young athletes to a variety of different sports in one setting. For
this program we combine Baseball, Basketball and Soccer into one fun-filled week. Athletes will learn the rules
and essentials of each sport through skill-based games and scrimmages. By the end of the week, your child will
walk away with knowledge of multiple sports along with vital life lessons such as respect, teamwork, and self-

Beginning Golf
SkyHawks Golf focuses on building the confidence of young athletes by teaching proper technique to refine
essential skills of the game. Golf is a challenging and lifelong sport, so young athletes need proper focus on the
fundamentals of form, swinging, putting, and body positioning. To assist in this training, SkyHawks has adopted
the SNAG (Starting New At Golf) system to its curriculum. SNAG utilizes a set of equipment designed for
beginning golfers, including oversized plastic club heads and “mini tennis balls” to help build confidence and
to have fun. Developed by PGA professionals, SNAG is specifically designed for the entry-level player; SNAG
simplifies instruction so that young players can make an easy and effective transition onto the golf course. No
need to bring your own clubs--all equipment is provided.
