June 2025 The Board of Education seeks members of the community to serve on its Legislative and Safety Committees. Finding Answers and Addressing Concerns The Board of Education encourages direct parent-teacher communication to be the most helpful to the district’s children. If you have a question, comment, or concern about your child’s education, it should be brought to your child’s teacher’s attention. If your concerns are not satis¿ed, contact the principal of your child’s school. If this does not produce a satisfactory solution, contact Central Administration. If you are unable to agree, you may request that the matter be brought to the Board of Education’s attention. June 2023 Mandated Sports Physicals New York State law requires all students participating in athletics to receive a sports physical. Sports physical information and forms can be picked up at the health o൶ce or by visiting the district website. The forms must be completed before your child is able to participate in the interscholastic program. The results of the Sports Physicals shall be valid for a period of twelve months during the last day of the month in which the physical was conducted. The ¿nal approval for sports clearance rests with the school medical o൶cer. The Health Examination Form is to be completed by your primary health care provider or by the school medical o൶cer. Make sure that your healthcare provider signs, stamps and completes the form including any medications, inhalers, etc.. This information must be uploaded onto FamilyID as part of the sports clearance (registration) process. A student may not participate without the approval of the school medical o൶cer. The Health History form is part of the physical and is to be completed by a parent/ guardian in FamilyID.
