CEV School Project Webinars The CEV Technical and Development Department will continue to inspire coaches and physical education teachers working at the grassroots level through the delivery of a seventh webinar series run in conjunction with the CEV School Project ‘Play Volleyball – Grow with it’. Foundation Level Coaching Course Our newly restructured two-day introduction to volleyball course is now scheduled. New coaches looking to obtain a licence will need certification from the course to qualify for a National League indoor coach licence. Referee Grade 3 Course The course is designed to equip starter referees with specific knowledge that will enable them to officiate as 1st referee in Division 2 / school games as well as 2nd referee in Division 1 matches. Safeguarding Level 1 All Youth Coaches, Referees, Club Children’s Officers (CCO) and Designated Liaison Persons (DLP) must first complete the 3 hour Child Welfare & Protection Basic Awareness Workshop. This programme is designed for our coaches to work, learn and develop alongside some of the world’s top coaches and experts within the sport. June 4th-5th, Maynooth University Campus Tier 3 Weekend: "Preparing Your Team" with Bogdan Tanase Building the setter Defence tactics for left wing Defence systems Block tactics Blocking in a defence system Bogdan Tanase Head Coach TSV Haching, Germany Bogdan Tanase has years of experience in coaching junior and senior squads at national and club level. He covered the role of Head Coach of the Hungarian National Team and Romanian Youth National Team, as well as of multiple clubs competing in the highest league of Romania (ACS Volei, VCM Zalau, CSA Steaua Bucharest). He was also assistant coach for the Austrian Junior and Senior National teams. Alongside his coaching experience, he is a teacher in the Faculty of Sports and Physical Education at the University “Bogdan Voda”.
Beach Volleyball Combination Course New for 2022, VLY. is launching a combo course for new beach coaches and referees. This combo will equip coaches and referees with specific knowledge and confidence to improve their performances on the sand. Referee Development Programme Advanced Referee Workshops The new Referee Development Programme launches this summer.. Part 1 supports our dedicated referees. The goal is to help develop their professionalism, competence, and all-round performance.. Leading the advanced programme is our very own International Referee Giordano Dos Santos and he will be supported by two further guest international referees online from Europe. Referee Development Programme Young Mentor Referee Course Part 2 of our new referee development programme focuses on bringing new young referees into our sport. This full-day course will qualify and educate all participants to an approved Grade 3 standard. Therefore permitting them to start gaining essential match practice within the national league set up immediately. In addition, every referee will be assigned a mentor, an experienced referee that will be available for advising and supporting the new referees in their career. Teachers workshops Intro to volleyball VLY will offer workshops for teachers who wants to start off a volleyball activity in their school. This course is set to learn about our school programmes - FUNDA volley into 4v4 volley and right up to 6v6 volleyball. Develop the basic skills and learn about our events & competitions structured in line with our LTPD model. Level 1 Indoor Coaching Course For coaches looking to upskill and higher their game level, VLY host a 2-day weekend course. Topics of discussion include serve- receive and diverse systems of play among a multitude of other topics that assist in coach development.
