Griffith College 1. How to apply 1.1 Online Application Form The Griffith College Online Application Form is available at https://www.griffith.ie/apply-online. 1.2 Deadline Please ensure all applications are submitted no later than Friday, 27th April 2018. 1.3 Documentation The following documentation is required as part of the application process and should be uploaded when the Online Application Form is being submitted. Any additional documentation can be sent to studyabroad@griffith.ie. 1.3.1 Documentation to be sent in respect of Study Abroad/Semester Abroad/Erasmus/Top Up/Full Degree students A Completed Online Application Form available at https://www.griffith.ie/apply-online Proof of ID - Copy of picture page of the student’s passport or National ID Card An official copy of the student’s latest transcripts Non-Native English Speakers Only - Evidence of English language proficiency - an internationally recognised English language test score (e.g. IELTS/TOEFL/TOEIC). Where an Articulation Agreement/Partnership Agreement exists with a student’s home institution, a letter on headed paper from that institution, indicating a grade of B2 or higher, is acceptable. Please see Appendix 1 attached. 1.3.2 Documentation to be sent by Gap Programme students A Completed Online Application Form https://www.griffith.ie/apply-online Proof of ID - Copy of picture page of the student’s passport or National ID Card Evidence of English language proficiency if applicable - an internationally recognised English language test score (e.g. IELTS/TOEFL/TOEIC) Note: Students who have no proof of English will be tested upon arrival at Griffith College 1.3.3 Documentation to be sent by Masters students A Completed Online Application Form available at https://www.griffith.ie/apply-online Proof of ID - Copy of picture page of the student’s passport or National ID Card Official undergraduate degree transcripts for each year and each semester to date IMPORTANT: An official translation is required for documentation not produced in English Evidence of English language proficiency if applicable - an internationally recognised English language test score (e.g. IELTS/TOEFL/TOEIC) Graduate Business School Applicants Only: Graduate Business School applicants are also advised to include the following items as they will strengthen the application and give the faculty a more complete overview of the student’s profile: o CV/Resumé o Statement of Purpose/Personal Statement o Two reference letters, one of which should be an academic reference from a former teacher, lecturer or professor. 3
Griffith College 1.4 Online Application Form - Step by Step Guide for Applicants 1.4.1 Online Application Form – Study Abroad/Semester Abroad/Erasmus/Exchange students Welcome! Please go to www.griffith.ie and click on Apply Online on the right hand side 1st Section: Name/Country of Residence/Nationality/Course Details Input the following information: First name Surname (i.e. Family Name/Last Name) Email Country of Residence (i.e. the country where you are currently living) Country of Nationality (i.e. your Nationality according to your passport) 4
Griffith College Once you input the information above, Question 3 will appear “What type of course are you applying for?” Please select Study Abroad as indicated below. Once you have selected ‘Study Abroad’, Question 4 will appear, as indicated below. Please select the relevant programme from the list – Study Abroad 1 Semester or Study Abroad 2 Semester. Erasmus nominated students choose Erasmus 1 Semester or Erasmus 2 Semesters. When you have selected the relevant programme, please click on ‘Create my Application Form’ to proceed. 2nd Section: Choose a Course Choose a Campus Please select Dublin or Cork Please be advised that it is very important that your Home Institution/Study Abroad Provider/Agent is in agreement with your choice of campus before final submission of your application. 5

This question is related to your modules selection You can select up to three different faculties. You can select modules from the following faculties only: Business Faculty Journalism and Media Faculty Computing Science Faculty Design Faculty Law Faculty Music Production please select “Music and Multimedia”* Postgraduate Business/Masters Business Modules please select “Graduate Business School”** *Please note that some of the Music and Multimedia lectures are delivered in the College’s outreach centre in Windmill Lane in Dublin 4, not in the Griffith College campus. It is easy to get to Windmill Lane by bus. Please contact the International Office if you require any further information. **IMPORTANT: Please note that modules from the Graduate Business School can only be selected by students who are currently enrolled in Postgraduate/Masters studies in the area of Business in their home institution. Your Study Path will be determined on the basis of your English language level - during your Gap Programme you may do 4 modules with no English OR 2 modules + 15 hours of English OR English language only, depending on your English level. Session 1: International Student Information Meeting Wednesday, 12th September 2018 (TBC) Session 2: College Induction/Orientation 13th & 14th September 2018 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- International Student Information Meeting The purpose of the International Student Information Meeting is to introduce you to International Office Student Services staff members and give you important information to help you to familiarise yourself with Dublin and with Griffith College. Griffith College Appendix 1 SAMPLE Letter of Confirmation – English Language Proficiency This is an example of the type of letter required to be submitted by your home institution/college/university to confirm your level of English proficiency. This letter is only acceptable if is printed on official letterhead, signed by a relevant academic staff member, preferably from the English Language Department, and stamped with the official college stamp. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ To Whom It May Concern, The purpose of this letter is to confirm the suitability of the student/students listed below for the Griffith College Study Abroad Programme with respect to their English language proficiency. The student/students have successfully completed our in-house English examination and achieved a score equivalent to B2 or higher as defined in the Common European Framework Reference of Languages (CEFRL). On the basis of this test result, we are satisfied that the student/students meet Griffith College Study Abroad Programme English language entry requirements.
