2ND SUNDAY OF EASTER 2DO DOMINGO DE PASCUA Prayer For Vocations Lord Jesus, Son of the Eternal Father and Mary Immaculate, give to our young people the generosi- ty necessary to follow Your call and the courage required to overcome all obstacles to their vocation. Give to parents that faith, love and spirit of sacrifice which will inspire them to offer their children to God's service and to rejoice whenever one of their children is called to the priesthood or religious life. May Your example and that of Your Blessed Moth- er and Saint Joseph encourage both young people and parents and let Your grace sustain them. Amen. ST. PETER PARISH SAN FELIPE DE JESÚS As we all know, our Governor officially announced that public school buildings would remain closed and face-to- face learning would not return for this school year. Therefore, our Faith Formation program will also have no face-to-face classes during April and May. In the next week or so, a “TAKE-OUT” FORMATION BOX will be prepared for each Faith Formation Family to use as a Domestic Church. Each family “Take-Out” Box will be specifically designed for your family and the age of your child/ren. If your child has been preparing for a Sacrament this year, please do not worry. The 1st Reconciliation and 1st Communion Retreat materials will be ready for you to do together in your home. As soon as possible, we will schedule a day and time for your little one to receive their sacrament. Those preparing for Confirmation will also be contacted and send what needs to be completed to stay on track for their preparation. While these are certainly anxious times, we must call on God and remember who is truly in control. To help us with our prayer life while we are not as connected with our church and faith community, items will be available on our website, Facebook page and email. This new "normal" has been an adjustment and a trying time for all of us. We are truly blessed to have such wonder- ful families in our Parish Community. Please let us know if you need anything. Pray the Holy Rosary daily at 4:00pm for the end of the pandemic with the Sister Maria LIVE on Facebook. Thank you for joining Father Fabio each Sunday for the Live Stream Mass. https://www.facebook.com/stpeterdouglas He enjoys seeing your smiling faces! During this unprecedented time of uncertainly as we grapple with the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, we need to support our priests and our Parishes so they can continue to be the Centers of Hope and provide pastoral and sacramental care for our people for many generations to come. That’s why the Diocese of Kalamazoo has established the special “Forward in Faith” Parish Support Fund, so you have an easily accessible way to lend your financial assistance. The Forward in Faith: Parish Support Fund is a special fund established by the Diocese of Kalamazoo to generate immediate funding to provide financial relief for parishes during the Coronavirus pandemic crisis. The Parish Support Fund is designed for those parishioners who are not currently using an online giving method to direct monies to their Parish. If you are currently enrolled in online giving with your Parish, or are mailing your weekly contribution envelope, you should continue to use that option.
