PARISH NEWS We have been celebrating and learning about the power of prayer and the gifts of joy that God has brought into our lives during our Wisdom Wednesday/ Weekend classes. In honor of the Blessed Mother and the precious Rosary, students made a rosary and added individual petitions into each balloon that represents a Hail Mary in the rosary. As you pray your next prayer to Mother Mary, we ask that you remember all of the individual prayers that our students asked our Blessed mother to intercede to her Holy Son in these special balloons. How to Assist a Family in Need for Food and Gifts at Thanksgiving or Christmas For the past many, many years, HOPE NOW of Elkhorn and the Elkhorn School District have coordinated food and gift assistance for families in need during the Holidays. The compassion and generosity of so many donors answered that call for assistance. This year, with the continuing concern for Covid exposure and the subsequent decision to err on the side of safety, we will again be requesting donations of food cards and store gift cards. While we know gift cards are not as fun or engaging as preparing a food box or purchasing and wrapping gifts Book of Intentions: “That God, for a particular child or family, we feel that currently this is our best alternative. our loving Father, will hear the prayers we make in our Book of HOPE NOW kindly requests the donation of grocery gift cards and store gift Intentions and in the silence of our cards (ex.
