In order to view the videos at home look for Bishop Barron's section below and click on the video 'The Mass". RESPONDING TO GOD At each Mass, the homily is a bridge in several ways: Between the strange world of the Bible and our own experience. Between listening to God and responding to him. Between the Liturgy of the Word and the Liturgy of the Eucharist. As a guide to the mysterious Word of God just proclaimed, the homilist correlates the questions of human existence with the answers of divinity. Watch this short video to find out what makes a homily good:
Questions: What is a mystagogue and how does the homilist act as one? What is the congregation’s responsibility when it comes to the homily? Next Sunday, listen attentively to the Scripture readings and homily, and find something that speaks to your own personal experience. Then reflect on that, bring it to God in prayer, and ask him for additional insight. After watching, please add a comment sharing your thoughts, or ask any questions you have! We'd love to answer them! Come in person this Sunday, July 11th, at 9:15 a.m. just before 10:00 a.m. Mass in the Fellowship Hall. See you there. Coffee, donuts, food for thought!
WHAT IS RCIA? Episode 2 of Season 3 is here! Whatever happened to the old convert classes? Deacon Larry Vaclavik explains what it stands for, what it is, the RCIA process, and what it is all about. Reflection questions: 1. What happened to the old convert classes? 2. What is the R.C.I.A.? 3. What is the process one goes through in R.C.I.A.? Please share your comments and questions for Deacon Larry. MEET OUR PARISH COUNSELOR FROM REJOICE COUNSELING APOSTOLATE
