Welcome The Royal Port Nicholson Yacht Club, or ‘Port Nic’ as it is referred to by its members, would like to invite you to use the many facilities, products and connections our Club can offer, helping you to promote your business. The Royal Port Nicholson Yacht Club was founded in 1883, and is now one of the largest Yacht Clubs in New Zealand. We have produced many fine sailors, amongst other the recent Emirates Team New Zealand America’s Cup winners Josh Junior and Matt Hibbard. With the Wellington Ocean Sports Centre and the Wellington Youth Sailing Trust under our wings, we have not just a rich history but an investment in the future, in competitive yacht racing development, casual sailing and making water sport activities available to everyone. We provide superb waterfront facilities, from board meeting rooms to a public restaurant and large private function rooms including catering options. We also plan team building events and hire out a range of water sport equipment. With your involvement and support we can not only help your business to grow but also invest in the future of our club, the sailing community in Wellington and promote safe water sports overall. What’s on offer? Port Nic counts over 500 members, with around a third being active sailors, a third joining our social activities more than the on-the-water action and the remaining ones are supporters, honorary members, and sponsors. We send a weekly newsletter to our subscribers, and along with our website, these are the clubs most frequently visited channels. Opportunities to have your business promoted via these channels is part of the package we offer. For our racing events we regularly welcome boats from Evans Bay and Lowry Bay Yacht Clubs. For our annual Regatta we receive visitors from all over New Zealand, which increases our fleet and the exposure of your brand. Contact us for details and options. We thank you for your interest and contribution and welcome you to our Club. Pedro Morgan Commodore RPNYC sponsoring@rpnyc.org.nz RPNYC Sponsoring - Season 2018/2019 2

WOSC – School Kids safe boating programme The Wellington Ocean Sports Centre has designed this programme to deliver the water safety message and educate children in a practical way which is not done as part of any other school education, even though every year on average 90 New Zealanders die from drowning. Our goal is that every child in the Greater Wellington Region will receive safe boating education, especially those most in need of this training. To achieve this, we need to supplement the existing Grant Funding we receive from the supportive foundations, as the price of the participation can be a barrier for some kids. The Wellington Ocean Sports Centre has invested in the facilities and skills in order to deliver this important programme, and with ~750 participants every year, we are making an important contribution to the safety of Wellington's children. With your valuable help we can make an even bigger difference – be part of it and support this great cause. Per child contribution $70 Invitations to all events including open day and any marketing/networking events Recognition in press releases and online news articles End of summer reporting and thank you report T-shirt for kids with your logo and course year Logo and link on WOSC website Logo on WOSC email newsletter sponsoring@rpnyc.org.nz RPNYC Sponsoring - Season 2018/2019 15
