SPECIAL REGULATIONS
              IN THE EVENT OF DRT 2017

DEFINITION :
The Moto Club DRAG RACING TEAM (registration FFM 3176) will organize on June 3rd and
4th 2017 a round of the French Championship of Dragster on 1/8 miles or 201.16 meters.

CLASSES :
France championship :
- Competition-Bike : racing motorcycles with a maximum displacement of 2001 cc for super-
charged engines and 3000 cc for atmospheric engines, a series of 16 competitors according to
qualifying times.
- Pro-Stock : all-cylinder silhouette bikes and series, 1 series of 16 competitors according to qua-
lification times.
- Super Street-Bike : 1 series of 16 competitors according to qualification times, motorcycles ma-
nufactured in series and being the subject of a construction followed and sold normally in the
trade.

French Cup :
- Street-Bike : 1 series of 16 competitors according to qualification times, motorcycles manufac-
tured in series and being the subject of a construction followed and sold normally in the trade.

Trophy of France:
- Super Street Twin : 1 series of 16 competitors according to qualifying times.
- Street Twin : 1 series of 16 competitors according to qualifying times. The machines must com-
ply with the corresponding Dragster technical regulation, in particular having a twin engine.

Excluding Championship (categories not counting for a cumulative ranking)
- Promotion : 2 sets of 16 competitors according to qualifying times. The machines must com-
ply with the Dragster Promotion technical regulations. They must be able to come by road in
accordance with the highway code, be manufactured in series, be the subject of a continuous
construction and be normally sold in the trade. The machines must comply with the technical
regulations Dragster Promotion and the presentation of the machine’s gray card is compulsory.
- Wheeling : 1 series of 16 competitors according to qualifying times; 2 runs won per sleeve.
- Vmax : 1 series of 16 competitors according to qualifying times. As for the Promotion category,
the machines must comply with the Dragster Promotion technical regulations and the presenta-
tion of the machine’s registration card is compulsory.
- Classic : 1 series of 16 competitors according to qualifying times. The machines must have been
built before 1984.

As for the “PROMOTION” category, the machines must comply with the Dragster Promotion te-
chnical regulations and the presentation of the machine’s registration card is compulsory. The
organizer reserves the right to authorize prototype machines.

In the event that the number of entries is less than eight in one category at the time of the closing
of the commitments, the following provisions would be made :
- The category “PRO STOCK” would be included in the category “COMPETITION BIKE”.
- The “SUPER STREET BIKE” or “STREET BIKE” categories would be combined into a single SUPER
STREET BIKE category.
- The category “STREET TWIN” would be included in the category “SUPER STREET TWIN”.
- The category “WHEELING”, “VMAX” or “CLASSIC” would be included in the “PROMOTION” cate-
gory.

The competition is organized in accordance with the Sporting Code of the FFM, the require-
ments of the CNV to the present specific regulations which has been examined and appro-
ved by the FFM.

Art 4. COMPETITORS :
The following are eligible to participate:
- Pilots of French nationality holding an international license, EMU, NCA, NCB or “1 event”
issued by the FFM for the current year.
- The pilots of foreign nationality holding an international license EMU, NCA, NCB or “1
event” issued by the FFM for the current year provided that they can justify before the first
event of the championship of a residence in France For at least three consecutive years or
the holding of a FFM license for at least three consecutive years.

Important : Pilots registering on the spot and applying for a “1 event” must present a medi-
cal certificate of fitness for motorcycling.

Art 5. MACHINES :
The accepted machines are those as defined in Article 1 of the FFM Regulation and which
meet the criteria of the categories “COMPETITION BIKE”, “PRO-STOCK”, “SUPER STREET-BI-
KE”, “STREET-BIKE” STREET TWIN “,” STREET TWIN “,” PROMOTION “.
For the categories “WHEELING”, “VMAX”, “CLASSIC” which are specific to the test, will be ad-
mitted if they meet the criteria of the article CLASS of this regulation.

Art 6. COMMITMENTS :
Commitment rights:
- 140 € for the categories of the French Championship (110€ for the drivers registered in the
complete championship)
- 60 € for the categories “PROMOTION”, “WHEELING”, “VMAX” or “CLASSIC”.
The commitment forms must be sent before May 20, 2017, however, due to the promo-
tional nature of the event, commitments may be entered on the spot in the promotion

category (closing of engagements Friday, June 3 at 10:00pm). After the closing deadline, the
postmark will be refused, or a penalty of 50 € will be applied.
The number of competitors will be limited to 250 pilots, in case the maximum number of
requests for commitments is reached on the closing day, the registration priorities will be
given according to article 8.1 of the FFM regulation. The organizer will be able to refuse an
entry without having to mention the reason or to delete a category in case of insufficient
number of pilots.

In accordance with article 18 of the FFM regulation, the competitors will have the possibility
to commit themselves to the French Championship, Coupe de France or Trophée de France
to the Propulsion Association :
- € 110 per sleeve for the categories “COMPETITION BIKE”, “PRO-STOCK”, “SUPER STREET-BI-
KE”, “STREET-BIKE”, “SUPER STREET TWIN”, “STREET TWIN”
- 60 euros for the categories “PROMOTION”, “WHEELING”, “VMAX” or “CLASSIC”. The last
three categories are specific to the Bordeaux event.

Art 7. . ADMINISTRATIVE AND TECHNICAL VE-
RIFICATIONS:
Hours :
- On 3 June from 8:00am to 9:00pm
- 4 June from 8:00am to 10:00am

The competitors must present themselves personally to the administrative checks provi-
ded with the obligatory documents suvivants:
      - Confirmation of commitment
      - Their 2017 license
      - Their driver’s license or CASM (invalid photocopies).

During the technical inspection, the pilot must present himself with the following articles:
      - Complete helmet (helmet, gloves, leather suit and boots, backplate) in compliance
      with FFM standards.
      - The number of entries required must correspond to article 12.1 of the FFM regula
      tion (dimensions, colors, etc.).

Important : The presentation of the motorcycle registration card is compulsory for the ca-
tegories “PROMOTION”, “WHEELING”, “VMAX” and “CLASSIC”.

Art 8. QUALIFICATIONS :
The start of qualifying will take place on Saturday 3 June at 13:30am. You can find all the
official schedules of the Bordeaux event on the website of the association Drag Racing
Team in the tab “Dragster Moto> Infos Rules”.

Art 9. RACE SCHEDULE :
The start of the first race will take place on Sunday 4 June at 11:00am. You can find all the
official schedules of the Bordeaux event on the website of the association Drag Racing
Team in the tab “Dragster Moto> Infos Rules”.

Art 10. PRICE :
For the categories “COMPETITION BIKE”, “PRO-STOCK”, “SUPER STREET-BIKE”, “STREET-BI-
KE”, “SUPER STREET TWIN”, “STREET TWIN” and “PROMOTION” the prices will be those an-
nounced in the article 11 of the FFM regulation.For the categories “WHEELING”, “VMAX” or
“CLASSIC” the premiums will be identical to the category “PROMOTION”.

Important : In case there are fewer than 75 hired out of “PROMOTION”, the premiums
would be divided by 2. If there were less than 50 hired outside “PROMOTION”, the pre-
miums would be divided by 3.

Art 11. INURANCE :
The organizer of the event has contracted insurance covering the civil liability of riders and
passengers as well as those of public service employees made available in accordance with
the decree of 27 October 2006 and article R331-30 of the Code of sport.
The organizer declines all liability for damage to a motorcycle, accessories and equipment,
accident, fire or other incident.

Art 12. CLAIMS AND APPEALS :
Complaints shall be made in writing and presented to the Clerk of the Course in accordan-
ce with Article 8 of the General Rules for Speed Circuits.

Art 13. . DISTRIBUTION OF PRICES :
The prize-giving ceremony will take place on June 4, 2017 from 7:00pm.

Art 14. INTERPRETATION OF THE SPECIAL RE-
  GULATIONS :
  Cases not foreseen in the special regulations will be decided at first instance by the jury of
  the Stewards in accordance with the provisions of this regulation and the national regula-
  tion of sporting events.
