How To Complete Your Ballot A. Ballot are not forwardable. Still time to request a one-time absentee ballot for the November 3rd General Election. Do it now https://elections.hawaii.gov/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/AB-Form- English-20191211-website.pdf a. The deadline to request the one-time absentee ballot is October 27th but waiting until then and may be too late – so do it NOW! B. Completely fill in each box – with black or blue ink ONLY a. If you make a mistake – DO NOT USE WHITE OUT – request a replacement ballot by contacting your County Clerk’s Office https://elections.hawaii.gov/resources/county-election-divisions/ C. How To Complete Your Ballot – cont. E. Put the completed ballot in the secrecy envelope F. Put the secrecy envelope containing the ballot in the provided return envelope G. Sign the outside of the return envelope a. Signature will be matched against your signature on file b. If you forget to sign or your signature does not match, the Clerk’s Office will contact you by mail, email, or phone to correct it. You will have until 5 business days after election day to correct. c. Signing the outside of the return envelope is required because your ballot will NOT be opened to see how you voted until your signature is verified. d. Signing the outside of the return envelope is how this is done nationwide e. Track your ballot and ensure it has been counted: https://ballotstatus.hawaii.gov H. Mail (postage prepaid) by October 27th so that ballots are received by your County Clerk on November 3rd by 7:00 pm

Dropping Off Voted Ballots If a voter still has their General ballot after October 27th they need to drop it off at: • Voter Service Centers; or • Places of Deposit (collected by the County Elections Division) To use either of these options and to make sure that their vote is counted, they need to make sure that they complete the following: • Ballot is filled out as they wanted; • Their ballot is placed in the secrecy sleeve; and then • Placed in the return envelope that they have signed

Voter Service Centers Voter Service Centers provide the following: • Accessible in-person voting; • Same day voter registration; and • Collection of voted ballots Voter Service Centers are open ten (10) business days prior to the election and on Election Day. Wearing a mask is required at all locations and you must practice physical distancing.

Voting In Person • Every voter must fill out an application • Registering for the first time to VOTE: • If a person is registering to vote for the first time in the State of Hawai‘i, and do not have a Hawai‘i Driver License, Hawai‘i State ID, or the last 4-digits of their Social Security Number, they will be required to provide proof of identification. Proof of identification includes a copy of: • A current and valid photo identification; or • A current utility bill, bank statement, government check, paycheck, or other government document that shows their name and address. When you show up be prepared to vote. Voters That Require Assistance Direct Recording Electronic (DRE) Voting Machines – DRE voting machines ensure privacy and independence, and protect the right of voters with disabilities and voters with limited English proficiency. The DRE provide accessibility for individuals with disabilities, including nonvisual access for voters who are blind or visually impaired. It also provides language accessibility in Chinese and Ilocano pursuant to the Voting Rights Act.

Not a touch screen - Voters navigate through the ballot with the SELECT wheel and make their choices by pressing the ENTER button. b. Leaving a race blank is an option c. Will not let you over vote D. Review the Summary Page E. Press Cast Ballot F. Review the Paper Verification page and the printed record G. Select Accept page H. Press Cast Ballot to finish voting I. WAIT for the American Flag to verify acceptance
