Celebrating 100 Years OF WOMEN'S RIGHT TO VOTE On August 26, 1920 suffragettes celebrated the ratification of the 19th Amendment, granting American women the right to vote. 2020 BERGEN COUNTY ELECTION CALENDAR F EATU R IN G W I N N E RS F R O M T H E “ M Y CO U NTY” P OSTER CONTEST
Dear Fellow Bergen County Resident, It is my pleasure to present to you the 2020 BERGEN COUNTY ELECTION CALENDAR featuring the amazing artwork of some very talented fourth graders from schools throughout our county. These young, aspiring artists were the winners of the "My County" Poster Contest sponsored by your Constitutional Officers: Sheriff Anthony Cureton, Surrogate Court Judge Michael Dressler and myself. As we embark upon this Presidential Election year, we also acknowledge John S. Hogan that this year marks the 100th Anniversary of the ratification of the 19th Bergen County Clerk Amendment to the Constitution that granted women the right to vote. Susan B. Anthony, America’s iconic social reformer and women’s rights N CO activist, once boldly proclaimed, “Someone struggled for your right to vote. Also included, for your convenience, is a removable VOTER REGISTRATION APPLICATION and a VOTE-BY-MAIL BALLOT APPLICATION. CL N Y O EW E E JERS Y F TH NT E COU Should you need the services of the Office of the Bergen County Clerk, please be aware that the Counter/Passport & Land Records Management Divisions have extended hours on Monday from 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and all four Divisions are open from Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. In addition, the Counter/Passport Division is open on the second Saturday of each month from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Also, please check out the schedule in this calendar for dates and times for “Satellite Offices” set up throughout the county.
