This year we choose an airfield in « Bourgogne-Franche Comté ». It is located on the territory of Gisy Les Nobles,
12 Km from the city of Sens. We hope to welcome you there under a bright sun, like last year in La Baule.
Our friend and VCF member Bruno Guillard, current RV7 builder, and owner of a hangar on the airfield, will be hosting
the fly-in.
The nearby city of Sens and its cathedral is the opportunity for a historic and touristic escapade.
Arrivals/Departures: it will be possible to arrive as soon as Friday morning and to depart at any time. We do not
anticipate any restrictions. However, as usual, you must make yourself familiar with all NOTAMS, weather and
procedures for Pont Sur Yonne.
This airfield is located under the Paris TMA, be careful with altitudes constraints.
Radio procedures are done in auto-information, no tower on the airfield, and must be made in French.
Take special note of the following:
- Pont Sur Yonne is home to many flying activities (airplanes, gliders, ultralights, …).
Make early reports of your arrival on the auto information frequency.
- Organizers will decline any responsibility in case of non-respect of the rules of the air.
Customs: Pont Sur Yonne is not an airport of entry. Those coming from a non-Schengen member country must clear
customs on another approved airport before proceeding.
Runways: two grass strips, 14/32 L and R, 1000 meters long, 14R/32L for airplanes, the other for gliders and ultralights.
Refueling: 100LL available at the TOTAL automated refueling station. Payment by cash, cheque or credit card will be
also possible in the Aero-Club office during the whole week-end.
Airplane Parking: Vast parking area which will be more than adequate for all incoming airplanes. Plan to bring chocks
and tie-down equipment for grass to secure your airplane. There is no tie-down cable to attach to.
It will be each pilot in command’s responsibility to park and secure his airplane. Marshallers will be attending all arrivals.
Car Parking: a 40 places cars park is available for those arriving by road.
Check-in: After securing your airplane or car, you will be required to check-in with the organizers and retrieve you meal
vouchers and badges.
Payment for meals will be possible in EURO currency or French cheque in EURO. Those coming from abroad should
plan to get Euro in advance as there is no ATM on the airfield.
Bags can be stored in a secure room until transfers to hotels.
Pilots wishing to present their airplane to the jury should let organizers known during check -in.
Landing and parking fee: None on this airfield
Participation fee: a participation fee of 10€ per crew (airplane or car) will be requested to partially cover the important
cost of the fly-in, except for Vans Club de France members.
WI-FI: Wi-Fi access will be available in the hangar.
Weather Briefing: can be done online on the Wi-Fi access. Weather briefing leaflets will be placarded on Sunday
morning.

Meals: meals will be provided by a caterer for the duration of the fly-in.
Dinner, 19 € Friday night on the airfield
Lunch buffet, 25 € Saturday mid-day (aperitif, starter buffet, hot meal, cheese, desserts)
Gala dinner, 50 € Saturday evening at 20:30 – followed by dancing party
Lunch, 15 € Sunday mid-day on the airfield
OR
Take-away lunch box, 10 € Sunday from 10:30 AM
For security reasons wine during meals will be sold separately, except for the Gala Dinner on Saturday evening.
Free access to an « open bar » will be provided to everyone holding the badge received at check-in.
Accommodation: This year we recommend the Virginia Hotel where the Gala dinner will take place on Saturday night,
allowing us to enjoy the evening without having to drive or walk after the party.
Other hotels are available, but driving will be required to get there. Please refer to the list below.
Camping: Possible on site
Transport to/from the airfield: a shuttle service will be provided by the VCF to/from the hotel. Those coming by car will
be kindly required to help with transport as is customary during our fly-ins.
