The News is “The Border Run” for 2021 is on. When: Saturday 12 June to Monday 14 June 2021 Destination Portland Victoria. The Austin 7 Club Victoria has organised this year’s Border Run in lieu of the cancelled one last year. We in SA have 23 rooms allocated at the Richmond Henty Hotel Complex in Portland. Cost for the weekend will be just short of $600 per couple for the weekend which covers 2 nights ac- commodation, breakfasts (continental) on Sunday & Monday mornings, Dinner meals (Main course and Dessert) on Saturday and Sunday nights and Sunday lunch per couple. Please let David Searles know by email ASAP whether you are interested in coming on the Border Run and what room at the accommodation you would like. Obviously it will be first come first serve for room allocations. ALSO I have contacted the Lacepede Bay Motel at Kingston in regards to Friday night on the way to Portland and they have plenty of rooms available. If you would like to stay overnight with us please also indicate you desire to do so. SO 1. Please let me know if going to Portland, and/or 2. Please let me know if staying at Kingston on the Friday. IF The whole situation changes because of things beyond our control and cross border movement is cur- tailed I will be maintaining our booking at Kingston and perhaps extend it for another night. Dear Club Secretary,
The Northern Automotive Restoration Club will be holding its Burra to Morgan
Event on 10th and 11th July, 2021. This is a re-enactment of the first Burra
To Morgan run in 1906.
Since a Ford Model ‘A’ was selected as the best vehicle in 2018 we have decided
to make this model the feature of our 2021 Rally. There will be a prize for the
chosen Model ‘A’ as well as Prizes for other Classes.
The vehicle of the day, other than the Model ‘A’, will be the feature vehicle
In 2022.
The Rally begins in the historic town of Burra and cars travel to Morgan on the
Sunday, stopping at the Gums (station) for morning tea. More details will be
forwarded later.
The NARC members look forward to seeing you and your vehicle participate
in this historic event.
