Starting in March, we will be offering three levels of Blended Learning Schoology training. Level One: Taking Small Steps with Schoology Are you ready to explore how to implement Schoology into the classroom to save you time, learn new tips and tricks, and design a sample Schoology lesson but would like the training to move slowly, with step by step examples, and written out guide sheets? Then join us for Level One of Schoology. In this training, you will walk away with sample Blended Learning lesson with folders inside of Schoology, new easy to use resources to embed into schoology, and an overview of the coolest aspects of Schoology that will kickstart your online classroom learning environment. Level Two: Design, Gamify, and Explore Schoology Take Schoology to the next level with twenty easy to use tools to design engaging lessons with graphics, assessments, and discussion boards. Participants will also explore how to gamify the learning process with Schoology with badges, embedding activities, and resources to provide the students with a unique learning experience. This level-up Schoology workshop will be a fast-paced session packed full of ideas and resources to explore Level Three: Coaching & Training Others on Schoology This session will review the basics of how to design a lesson and the twenty level up strategies for implementing Schoology into the Blended Learning classroom setting. What sets this session apart is that the training will focus on the sustainability of Schoology within the district, school, or classroom with showcasing coaching tips and tricks for the teacher, coach, or the administrative team.
www.blendedlearningpd.com with Marcia Kish @dsdPD GOOLE TOOLS IN THE BLENDED CLASSROOM Examine the endless possibilities of what Google Docs, Drive, Draw, Slides and Sheets can provide in the Blended Classroom. All of the workshops will provide step- by-step videos and directions to help educators take Google Tools to the next level, which will help save time, provide collaboration activities for the students, and endless possibilities for student ownership. Starting in March, we will be offering three levels of Blended Learning Goole Suite training. Level One: Taking Small Steps with Google Tools Are you ready to learn the basics of how to use Google Tools more effectively in the classroom? During this slowed-down session, we will explore the first steps to generating engaging activities using Google Docs, Draw, Slides, and Sheets and how to organize the contents inside of Google Drive with simple to use tips and tricks. Each participant will walk away with at least four activities to use within the Blended Classroom and a folder full of templates to help captivate the students. Level Two: Design, Gamify, and Explore Google Tools Take your classroom engagement to the next level with Google Hyperdocs, interactive notebooks, and self-checking activities, and so much more. Throughout this session, participants will learn how to design, gamify, and take Google Tools to the next level. Each participant will walk away with ready to use activities, notebooks, and a folder full of templates to use in the Blended Classroom. Level Three: Coaching & Training Others on Google Suite Investigate how to set up seamless integration strategies that continue to implement Google Suite into any classroom setting. This session will showcase how to generate engaging asynchronous or synchronous training for educators and students. The participants will walk away with training templates, new resources, and ideas to coach and support all learners through Google Suite.
www.blendedlearningpd.com with Marcia Kish @dsdPD THREE PHASES OF BLENDED LEARNING Getting started with Blended Learning has never been easier than with the step by step deployment plan for the first 45 days. The Three Phases of Blended Learning rollout plan will showcase how to gradually move from whole group instruction to chunking the lessons and then toward student ownership learning environment where the students will be able to move through the content at their own pace, place and path. Level One: Taking Small Steps with Google Tools Level One: Blended Learning is More than Centers (K-6) Stations, Centers, and Studios Oh My, where should we start, and what is the difference? This introduction to Blended Learning is geared toward Elementary teachers ready to embark on the blended learning challenge with integrating learning studios that allow for Differentiated Instruction, high levels of student ownership, and the use of technology tools that enhance the learning targets. The participants will walk away with the 45-day deployment plan, sample blended learning lesson plans, and resources to start the blended learning journey. Level One: Mixing in Student Ownership with Technology Integration (6-12) The Introduction to the Three Phases of Blended Learning showcases how to deploy student ownership into the modern-day classroom environment gradually. Within the first thirty minutes of the session, participants will start to generate their first blended learning lesson that includes digital content, small group instruction, and the potential to incorporate student ownership opportunities through choice activities. The blended learning journey starts with chunking the lesson's contents and develops into seamless learning opportunities for the middle and high school environments. Level Two: Explore the Magic Sauce of Phase Two of Blended Learning After the first four Phase One lesson plans, it is time to move to Phase Two, the Magic Sauce of Blended Learning. During this session, we will take a look at what the Blended Learning recipe calls for in the future, how to prepare the students, and start to develop a student checklist that is effective for allowing student Pace, Place, and Path, while using data to drive the small group instruction. Participants will leave this session with the first 90 days rollout plan, guides, and resources to use in Phase One and Phase Two. (Please attend Level One before signing up for Level Two)
