BRINGING THE JOY OF INCLUSIVE PLAY TO CHILDREN WITH DISABILITIES Dear Friend, We invite you to be a part of our 24th Annual Run, Walk & Roll on Sunday, September 12, 2021 in Griffith Park. Inclusion Matters by Shane’s Inspiration is planning a family-friendly event that includes an inclusive walk and roll, exhibition fair, refreshments, raffle, and a 5k/10k run. We respectfully request your support as an event sponsor. Inclusion Matters is an international non-profit based in Los Angeles, California. Our mission is to foster social inclusion for children with disabilities through inclusive playgrounds and educational programs that unite children of all abilities. Funds raised from this event will support the costs associated with our three signature programs. Through our My Playground® catalyst program, we have opened 75 inclusive playgrounds in the U.S., Mexico, Canada, Israel, Russia, and Ecuador. Our community outreach program, My PlayClub®, and education program, Together, We Are Able®, have reached over 45,000 children and their families. Our programs teach compassion and acceptance towards people with disabilities. Together with your help, we will have the ability to reach even more children and families. Preceeding the Walk & Roll, there will be a 5k/10k Run. Families will have the opportunity to meet our Grand Marshal before the walk. We provide refreshments, t-shirts, a raffle, and have a great exhibition fair with a Kids Zone, all complimentary for our families. We partner children with disabilities with buddies to accompany them on the Walk & Roll. We anticipate around 600 participants, including 200 children.
OUR COVID-19 RESPONSE
COVID-19 has affected all of us in different ways, but the children and families we serve have lost
many of the critical therapies and educational support structures they depend upon. That’s why
Inclusion Matters by Shane’s Inspiration created virtual programming to help kids, parents, and
educators navigate powerfully through this pandemic. Our programs have made a big impact!
LUNCH & LEARN
These one-hour professional development trainings have covered a variety of vital information, including the virtual
IEP process, adaptive physical education at home, literacy skill development, distance learning strategies, and more.

FUN 4 ALL
These engaging half-hour inclusive play events have brought Together, We Are Able online. Each incorporates music, sensory Inclusion
activities, literature, and movement and playfully encourages fine/gross motor skills, language development, social skills, and Matters

MY VIRTUAL PLAYCLUB
We continued providing virtual inclusive family programs, reaching 105 children and parents via two events and an additional 250 on Facebook
Live. These hour-long events bring children with disabilities and their Teens For Social Inclusion buddies together to play, connect, and laugh. The
play clubs offer social interaction, music, literature, special guests, and more. Most importantly…they give families a chance to connect to one

GLOBAL DAY OF PLAY
Jason Mraz headlined an all-star Zoom event livestreamed on Facebook. We reached the homes of families from all over the world with amazing
artists who enchanted us with their performances and inspiring stories. We had participants from 23 states and 14 countries on our Zoom event.

INCLUSION TRAININGS
In March 2020, we began providing specialized zoom trainings for partner organizations, including educators, parents, recreation specialists, and
university students. Impact: 7 trainings = 190 participants reached
PLAY AT HOME
We created more than 60 videos by child development experts and advocates to give parents and educators hours of vital content that includes
adaptive physical movement, music, sensory integration ideas, literacy prompts, and more. Program in action: inclusionmatters.org/playathome/
