IN A NUTSHELL BERLIN SCIENCE WEEK CAMPUS On 5–6 November, Berlin Science Week Campus is the central festival hub at the Museum für Naturkunde Berlin. WHAT‘S ON Among fossils, evolutionary exhibits and geological discoveries, the Campus offers spaces for both in-person and hybrid or fully digital events: Hold a workshop with livestream in the Polar Bear Room, host a hybrid lecture in the New Lecture hall, or create an immersive experience in the Experimental Field – integrated into a fascinating scientific backdrop. Different exhibition spaces in the heart of the Campus allow you to showcase your organisation‘s profile and research. Create interactive exhibitions and connect with both experts and the interested public. TAKE PART AND... CONNECT WITH KEY STAKEHOLDERS ENGAGE WITH THE PUBLIC INCREASE VISIBILITY & AWARENESS CELEBRATE SCIENCE! SAFE ENVIRONMENT The Museum für Naturkunde is a safe environment to host your events. The current protective and hygienic measures apply to the containment of coronavirus. All exhibition halls are equipped with a supply and exhaust air filtration system and seating is provided in compliance with the applicable distancing regulations. All measures will be adapted to the respective valid legal requirements. ABOUT MUSEUM FÜR NATURKUNDE BERLIN Our cooperation partner, the Museum für Naturkunde Berlin – Leibniz Institute for Evolution and Biodiversity Science, is an integrated research museum within the Leibniz Association. It is one of the most important research institutions worldwide in the areas of biological and geological evolution and biodiversity. The Museum für Naturkunde Berlin is centrally located in Berlin Mitte (Invalidenstr. 43, 10115 Berlin), within walking distance to the Main Station/Hauptbahnhof and has its own metro station, ‘Naturkunde- museum’. ALL UNDER ONE ROOF SPACES FOR IN-PERSON & HYBRID EVENTS Whether you are planning a physical or hybrid event, the Museum für Naturkunde Berlin provides a unique backdrop for your planned format. Two centrally located exhibition spaces – System Earth and Evolution in Action – allow you to showcase your work in an inspirational setting. Furthermore, we give you the possibility to broadcast your event live in the Polar Bear Room or the New Lecture Hall. You can rely on a professional team that will capture your event live via two cameras and transmit it to the channel of your choice or to the Berlin Science Week Youtube channel. If agreed, we will gladly make the video available on our website for future viewing. We’ve taken all measures into account to make sure you‘ll have a great and safe experience. EXHIBITION SPACES SHOWCASE YOUR ORGANISATION‘S WORK Share your innovations, meet new partners and interact one-to-one with all participants during both Campus days. Two exhibition spaces, Hall System Earth and Evolution in Action, offer an exciting backdrop to highlight your organisation. Combine an event with an exhibition and benefit from maximum visibility. EXHIBITION SPACES CAN BE RENTED ONLY FOR TWO DAYS, THE TOTAL NET PRICE IS 2000€ All designated spaces are available on a first come, first served basis and are equipped with a basic set-up. Should you need further technical equipment or support, please get in touch. The rental price includes: 4m2 Exhibition Space, free WIFI, power supply, spotlights, 1 table (120x70cm), two chairs, technical support, regular cleaning, the use of your exhibition space during opening hours of Berlin Science Week Campus, your organisation‘s name and/or logo mentioned in the Berlin Science Week Campus programme. The rental price excludes 7% VAT. EVOLUTION IN ACTION is the main gateway between event rooms and provides 0 0 0 € 6 exhibition spaces. It shows our world‘s rich biodiversity and is one of the Museum‘s main attractions. 2 HALL SYSTEM EARTH is centrally located behind the Dinosaur Hall and provides 16 15 10 exhibition spaces. It shows the Earth as a constantly changing system – representing the diversity of science. TERMS AND CONDITIONS The realisation of the Campus is only possible if 80% of the available event and exhibition spaces are rented. The Falling Walls Foundation reserves the right to abandon the project up to and including 31.08.2021 if this occupancy rate is not reached. Reservation for all event and exhibition spaces can be made on a first come first served basis. Reservations will come into effect with a signed agreement. All payment has to be effected by 31.10.2021. In case of cancellation the following terms apply: Free cancellation until 31.08.2021. 50% fee applies for cancellations until 30.09.2021. 100% fee applies for cancellations after 01.10.2021. Rental prices for event and exhibition spaces exclude 7% VAT. VAT exemption is possible for foreign institutions if a VAT-ID-number is available.
