PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE Spring is now finally here (or at least officially)! The warmer temperatures will now bring out our budding trees and early season flowers. February and March are the months of the Club’s fiscal year (which begins on May 1st) when the Finance Committee reviews the Club’s financial position with Anthony and makes a dues recommendation to the entire Board. The Board votes at our meeting in early March so that those members who choose to pay their dues in one payment can be billed at the end of the month. The Club has come through this pandemic year in a very solid financial condition. Increased golf play, combined with continued new membership development, have us on track to overcome the restaurant losses resulting from these continued pandemic constricted operations. During this Kiki Matthews same time, we have applied for several applicable state grants and federal tax credits that we are qualified for. We recognize that some members are always concerned with any dues increases; while others feel that we should charge more to have funds available to invest in needed projects. The Board of Directors is aware and mindful of both sentiments. We continue to remain conservative with our finances, and consequently, we are financially strong. The Finance Committee recommended and the Board of Directors has approved a slight 3% dues increase to cover the impacts of inflation. A Full Member’s dues will increase $8 a month. A CPT Member’s dues will increase $6 a month and a Clubhouse Member’s dues will increase $3 a month. The Board of Directors feels that this increase is reasonable; keeping the Club in a continued strong financial position, while enabling continued reinvestment in facilities and services. CLUB 36 IS BACK! FAMILY Club 36 is back with new dates and play times. MAIN CLUBHOUSE APRIL WINE OF THE MONTH B SIDE CABERNET SAUVIGNON $8 glass | $30 Bottle 90pts – Wine Enthusiast B Side Cabernet Sauvignon features grapes from vineyards on the flip-side of Napa Valley. These vineyards are nestled in rural areas or rolling hills, just a few miles from the high-priced glamour wineries featured along Highway 29. The eastern side of Napa Valley includes areas such as Pope Valley, Chiles Valley, Wooden Valley, Stags Leap District and lower Calistoga. Vines in these areas, are grown in thin, volcanic soils, which yield smaller, more concentrated fruit, producing Bordeaux-style Cabernet Sauvignons with classic berry and cassis flavors.
