Every year the HBVCC give out awards for recent restorations completed, with the only criteria being that the vehicle has been out on an official club run. As the AGM is to be held on the 9th of June there are not many chances to bring the vehicle out on a run to be eligible. If you have completed a restoration on a club eligible vehicle recently in any category, [either Motor Cycle, VET, VV. SUNDAY CLUB RUN// By Malcolm & Lesley Blair What another beautiful Autumn day for the club run. We assembled at the club rooms at 10.15am. Not 100% sure on car numbers but I counted about 19 Vintage and 6 Modern. It was a great turnout. We got our instructions from Lyn & Trevor and off we went. A short run through Te Awa Estate. The nights of the 22nd, 23rd, 24th, of October 2021. Unfortunately the motels are not all together but only about 5 minutes apart on a direct route. SPARES NEWS// By John Durry Hi All, not really a lot to say, but over the last 2 Tuesdays cleaning up the entrance to the spares department, firstly to get the Chandler in and secondly to start arranging our stock and getting ready for the 9th May swap meet, which we are pricing & packaging into lots ready to be taken to the speedway pits. We attached 2 photos of the Tyre Moulding machine & the motor meter, which are now displayed in the hall. We had some success with our sales last month, moving some Tyre’s & Jeep steering gear, we are going to put the trunk on Trade Me. So only 2 weeks to go till the big swap, so for getting ready for that, other than that there is not a lot to tell.
