SCHOLAR$HIP$ Ron McWhirt/Mark Cobb Scholarship The Ron McWhirt/Mark Cobb Scholarship is open to a CCSD graduating senior who’s parent/legal guardian is a full time employee of Charleston County School District. Student can be planning to attend either a 2 year or 4 year college/university. It is our belief that CTE students must be supported and encouraged to seek higher education in today’s highly competitive global community. Aware of the increasing costs to attend post-secondary schools, NTHS is dedicated to providing scholarships to career and technical education students who choose a skilled trade as their career. Deadline: December 11th Trident to Clemson STEM Pathway & Scholarships Trident Technical College has a 2+2 agreement with Clemson University and a Student Pathways in Engineering and Computing for Transfers Program (SPECTRA) Scholarship opportunity for students. Students who: • Are enrolled in an associate degree program at TTC • Plan to transfer to Clemson to major in certain STEM programs • Have demonstrated financial need (shown by completing a FAFSA) • Are U.S. citizens • Complete the scholarship application What is the amount of the scholarship? Students can be awarded scholarships in the range of $1,500 to $3,500 per year. Students who transfer to Clemson will be awarded $5,000 to $10,000 per year, based on the demonstrated need shown after the completion of the FAFSA. How to apply for this scholarship? The Palmetto State School Counselor Association awards three high school seniors a $1,000.00 non-renewable scholarship to assist with post-secondary education costs. Eligibility:
● Must be a high school senior attending a public or private secondary school in the state of South Carolina. ● Must be a permanent resident of the state of South Carolina. ● Must plan to attend a post-secondary institution during the 2020-2021 school year Applicants must: ● Submit an application through this Google link: https://forms.gle/4uaezBFjqt71WVXx8 ● Complete an essay of no more than 500 words about a school counselor who has made a difference in your academic, career, social, and/or emotional development. The achiever will be selected in January and receive $2,500 for educational expenses.

General Eligibility: Must be a female senior student at a Title I high school or an International equivalent high school. Criteria: Must be graduating in May (spring) of the award year and enrolling as a full-time student in an accredited college or university in the fall of the same year. Must have a minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale and demonstrate financial need.
Community service and involvement is a plus. Affiliation with any members of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated or any of its auxiliary organizations is not a requirement. Due by February 28, 2020.
