MAPS COVID Protocol COVID Safety Guidelines for all services at MAPS Attendance for prayers is limited. It is mandatory to register in advance using the Smart Jamaat app. Entry will be denied to those without registration. Any person who has symptoms of COVID-19, including a temperature of 100.4 degrees or greater, must not attend. We do temperature checks at the entrance. Any person with a household member who has been diagnosed with COVID-19, or with symptoms of COV- ID-19 (including a temperature of 100.4 degrees or greater), must not attend. High-risk individuals (those with underlying health conditions or over age 65 who have not been vaccinated) should take extra precautions and consider praying at home, since data about COVID seems to show that it impacts persons over 65 years old more severely with a higher risk of serious complications or death if COVID is contracted. Face-coverings / masks are mandatory for everyone and must be worn at all times, including during the prayer service. Please always follow social distancing guidelines and occupy marked spaces only. Please do not shake hands, kiss, or otherwise physically touch those who are outside your immediate household. Please do not congregate in groups before or after the prayer. There are no wudu (ablution) facilities open at MAPS. Please be sure to make wudu at home. Please bring your own prayer mat/rug, even though we will also offer individual paper mats (along with individual bags for your shoes). Please enter from the north (men’s) side and exit from west (church) side of the building. All other entrances will be locked. You must continue to wear masks and follow social distancing even if you have been fully vaccinated. For those who have traveled, domestically or internationally and with or without vaccination, you must quarantine for at least 10 full days before attending prayers at MAPS. Please be sure to also comply with all CDC and Dept of Health guidelines. If you answer “yes” to any health-related question in the questionnaire on the Smart Jamaat app, please do NOT register as you will NOT be allowed in the masjid. We have had to cancel a few registrations in the past based on this. While MAPS is taking appropriate safety measures to protect the health and well-being of all, anyone who chooses to attend any in-person services at MAPS does so at their own risk. All services at MAPS are subject to change upon guidelines update from CDC or the Department of Health. 12

These fundraisings also provide a channel for the community to fulfill their Zakat/Sadaqa obligations and benefit from increased rewards during the blessed month. MAPS will have two combined fundraising events. Each combined event will host four or- ganizations. Our hope is that diversity within these two groups will al- low all MAPS members to find the cause that is dearest to them and contribute to it during the fundraising. We will announce the full list of organizations shortly.

About Us The Muslim Association of Puget Sound (MAPS) started in 2006 with the intent of fostering a thriv- ing community based on Muslim values like spiritu- ality, service, humility, modesty, knowledge, fam- ily, unity, harmony, justice, and creating a better society. Since then, we have grown to become the largest Islamic center in the State of Washington, with a diverse community of more than 5,000 fami- lies from over 50 countries. As a mosque, we provide year-round religious ser- vices and educational/spiritual programming for Muslims (and those seeking to learn about Islam), as well as addressing the religious needs of the community from birth to celebrating weddings to honoring final rites. We also provide a social hub to build relationships between Muslim individuals, families, and organizations. But we do more. Much more. From communi- ty service to outreach and advocacy, interfaith bridge-building, celebration of culture and the arts, protecting the environment, and beyond. We invite you to learn more about MAPS online, or visit us in person, and become part of our dynamic commu- nity! MISSION STATEMENT Establish an Active Masjid, adherence to Islamic principles, inviting engagement for all, providing high quality services and enabling a platform for community ideas to flourish.
