Girls WA Cup Format: 15U-19U One weekend tournament: Gold, Silver and Bronze (4th Div., if needed) Seedings based on final league standings (for Fall Boys & Girls 11U-14U, Fall Boys 15U-19U & Girls 15U-19U HS League) A maximum of 8 teams per division WNPL & WSPL teams required to participate Minimum 2 game guarantee Losing teams play consolation game Finalists play a maximum of 3 games

WNPL League Standards:2018 Automatic relegation for last place finisher WNPL and WSPL Automatic Promotion for first place finisher WSPL and Classic 1 To keep a seed in WNPL/WSPL, a team must retain a minimum 9 players from past season. Teams that cannot meet min player rule would lose their seed and drop down. All WNPL/WSPL teams required to participate in Washington Cup. WNPL/WSPL teams pay a portion of the WA Cup fee during league registration. League Monitors to attend WNPL matches
WNPL: Minimum Standards for league placement Teams must have competitive track record and must be highly committed Coaches for WNPL must hold a USSF "C" license or United Soccer Coaches ”National Diploma.” Clubs must submit development plan/ curriculum to the League by Aug. 1 (or available to view by the league). Teams must be willing to travel across state Games to be played on each Clubs’ best fields (must send a list of fields to the league by Aug. 1). Required for WNPL games, recommended for WSPL. All players must have unique jersey numbers for each player. No taping or covering of jersey numbers. Player receives automatic ejection. Teams must have extra jerseys for any "player passed players.” No exceptions.
WNPL DOC Requirements DOC to hold a USSF "B" License, or equivalent Or DOC demonstrates extensive (5 years) experience managing top-level club DOC can hold a “C” License or United Soccer Coaches "National Diploma" but must show a plan/commitment to higher license within 12 mos. Complete United Soccer Coaches "Director of Coaching" Diploma within 12 mos.
PSPL Rules Key updates Numerous additions to remove ambiguity and add clarity based on feedback provided. Rule 106 – New rule regarding WNPL, WSPL returning team requirements Rule 205 - League Tiebreakers Rule 207 – Use of "Bownet style" goals in limited cases (proper sizes) Rule 208 – Heading Game Rule – Added return to play information. Rule 209, 210, 211 & 302 – Added additional clarity and visual charts Updated Rules will be posted after Competition Committee feedback
League Misconducts: 2017-2018 1126 Player & Coach misconducts - Red & yellow cards as compared to 884 for last year and 1131 year previously. Added more teams this season and Rec league expanded also. 21 Coach Expulsions (20 previously) and 22 warnings (21 previously) of Coach or Team Official as compared to 13 expulsions and 16 warnings for the 2015-2016 season 143 Female misconducts (121 last season), 983 Male Misconducts (763 last season) Referee Abuse – Too many reports of sideline or post match Referee Harassment and abuse Need club and team help addressing this with parents Over 60 Clubs in the various PSPL leagues

Scheduling League Scheduling Info Changes “Schedule request form” for High School age leagues (and all leagues) must be received at league office by REGISTRATION DEADLINE. NO EXCEPTIONS! Reschedules are discouraged. Reschedules must be agreed upon by both teams "in writing" 14 days prior to the "original league scheduled date". Teams are not required to reschedule. Schedules for Girls 15U-19U will be built with makeup/blackout dates for inclement weather/travel and Academy events. Please work to play games on the league scheduled date. All League games have huge importance with regards to seeding for Washington Cup.
