Halmstad BTK in cooperation with ETTU Eurotalents Programme, supported by ITTF

Welcome to Sweden :
The Swedish Table Tennis Association is looking forward to welcome European top prospects and young
emerging players to the ETTU Talent Development camp U 15 and U 19 in Sweden. We have , together
with the ETTU , chosen to organise the camp in the 2018 World Championships city of Halmstad, once
again using the Halmstad Arena . Our promise is to engage all forces from best training conditions to
quality coaches and sparring partners, in order to make this camp a huge success for the important ETTU
Development program . Together with the Halmstad Table Tennis Club we are also offering , as an integral
part in the training set up, the Halmstad Masters – Sweden Tour tournament starting Friday 3 Sept with
the Mens and Womens singles events and continuing through the weekend Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 th
Sept with a series of youth events .
Home to the 2018 World Team Table Tennis Championships the multi venue sport facility offers perfect
training conditions for table tennis . The training venue C1 ( 14-16 tables ) is used on regular basis by one
Swedens nr 1 Elite clubs : Halmstad BTK . With both the female and male team in the Swedish Top Division
and two quality coaches working full time : Ulf Tickan Carlsson and Fredrik Håkansson , the Halmstad club
naturally is one of three elite training environments in Sweden.
The training camp is fully supported by the STTA with national team head coach Jorgen Persson and junior
national team coaches working hand in hand with the assigned camp coaches.
Training for the ETTU camp will take place on 20 tables in two venues on Stiga and San EI tables .
FINANCIAL CONDITIONS AND DEADLINE FOR
ENTRIES:
Price full board in double room occupancy: 110€
Price full board in single room occupancy: 140€
This price includes accommodation and food (3 meals per day), local transport and
free transport to and from Halmstad train station.
ETTU will cover subsidy of 60€ / day / each nominated player from the above
list / for maximum of 7 days

Travel details : NOT later than August 13th 2021
Cancellation and travel details of participants is possible till: August 13th 2021.
For cancellation after August 13th 2021, CANCELLATION FEE of 120€ will be
charged.
Please note that the the Halmstad Masters – Sweden Tour tournament 3-6 September
– usually 100 € per player for two events is not included in the official package and
should be paid directly to the organisers . Entries for the tournament should be done
by respective national association. The prospectus for the event will be circulated to
all confirmed participants .
ACCOMMODATION AND VENUE:

Distance to the training hall : 2,4 km – 20 minutes walk – 5 minutes by car . Shuttle
transport will be arranged .
Distance to the train station – Halmstad C : 500 meters .
5/7Please note that only players and their coaches are accepted for the full
board accommodation at the training camp.
Accompanying persons (parents, visitors, etc.) will be able to visit the camp but
have to make their own arrangements (hotel, transport, food, ...)
PLEASE BRING TOWELS FOR YOUR PERSONAL NEEDS AND REQUIREMENTS
TRANSPORT:
ARRIVALS – DEPARTURES : Pick up to be arranged from Halmstad C – train
station.
Arrival airport-s : Copenhagen , Denmark or Landvetter , Gothenburg
Transfer time to Halmstad C for Pick Up services : approx. 2 hours by train.
Train services : Öresundståget – departs every hour from CPH Airport – ticket price
one way is around 30 Euro per person. Pre – booking is available but not necessary .
Please note that arrival into CPH airport at the moment is subject to Antigen test
before customs .
