A new look for a new season! Welcome to the Scarborough Swim Club Swim Academy for the 2019-2020 season! We are thrilled to introduce a new look including an updated logo and an improved website. Our program will continue to operate as in past years with 2 lessons per week (3 times per week for Pre-Competitive group). Our instructional curriculum is continuously evolving to better prepare our swimmers for our Competitive Development program expectations. Swimmers will continue to learn functional and foundational movement skills, while being introduced to specific drills ahead of their graduation into our competitive program. As always, we have added some additional time in the schedule to allow for us to offer make up classes that are missed due to statutory holidays. We are happy to be bringing back the Mini- Meets for the upcoming season! Prior to Christmas and March breaks as well as at the end of the season, we will be holding a fun Mini-Meet for all our Academy swimmers. We have been fortunate to again secure pool time at the Toronto Pan Am Sports Centre as well as RH King Academy and Sir Wilfrid Laurier Collegiate. However, our pool permit costs have risen so there is a modest increase of $25 per year for some lesson fees. In addition, the registration fee will be increased by $25 to offset the corresponding increase for mandatory registration and insurance implemented by Swim Ontario for next season. Even if you have been with SCAR in the past, please read this entire package as we have updated some of our policies. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to contact the Club Administrator at scar.office@scarswimming.ca. Please check out our new website at www.scarswimming.ca! We are excited for a new season and are glad to have you as part of our club! Sincerely, Tanya Payne President, Scarborough Swim Club
