Commercial Burglaries: Date/Time Address (block range) Method of Entry Description/Suspect Information From: 01/02/2023 17000 Northland Park Ct No signs of forced R/P advises his company owns the office building 5:00pm (Vacant Office Building) entry on the located in the 17000 Block of Northland Ct. To: 01/03/2023 exterior of the He last saw the building in tacked on 01/02/2023 at 10:30am building. Several approx. 5:00pm. On 01/03/2023 at approx. 10:30am, interior suite he was notified by a staff member that the building doors were pried was broken into. R/P went through the building, and open. it appears that the suspect(s) removed several ceiling tiles looking for copper pipes to cut out. Pipes leading to the water meter and the water meter itself were taken. Several pipes were leaking throughout the building. No suspect information.
01/04/2023 27000 Greenfield Rd. Entry was through Officers were dispatched to the 27000 Block of 12:24am (Commercial- Pharmacy) the rear door. It Greenfield Rd. (Commercial- Pharmacy) on was pried open. 01/04/2023 at 12:24am for a burglary alarm. The main steal Indication was the rear door. door into business Officers arrived on scene; the front of the business was still secure. was secure. Officers observed the wooden rear door pried open. The rear corridor/room, containing miscellaneous boxes and paperwork, appeared to be untouched. The steal doorway leading into the main pharmacy was secure. The suspect was unable to get into the pharmacy and left out the rear door that had been pried open. The owner arrived on scene and confirmed no entry into main part of the store. Home Invasion: Date/Time Address (block range) Method of Entry Description/Suspect Information From: 01/02/2023 21000 Stahelin Rd. Front Door was Victim came into the front desk to report that 8:00pm (Residence) kicked in. sometime between 01/02/2023 8:00pm- 01/03/2023 To: 01/03/2023 10:00am someone kicked in the front door of her 10:00am residence in the 21000 Block of Stahelin. The suspect(s) stole, 3- TV’s from throughout the residence and a jewelry box from a dresser. No suspect information. 01/04/2023 23000 Beech Rd. Overhead garage R/P met with Officer and advised him that his brother 11:19am (Residence) door was forced recently passed away and he and his wife were the up off the ground executors of the estate. They had last been to the and patio door residence in the 23000 Block of Beech Rd. around glass was broken Christmas. They returned to the residence on out. 01/04/2023 at 11:19am. They discovered forced entry into the residence by forcing the overhead garage door up off the ground and a patio door had the glass broken out on it. After going through the residence, they discovered that two firearms were missing from the residence. There was also a box with misc. items that were previously packed up missing. No suspect information.
01/05/2023 30000 Southfield Rd. Attempted to Victim states he was in his apartment in the 30000 6:29pm (Apartments) physically force Block of Southfield Rd. (Apartment Complex) when he entry into victim’s heard a loud bang on the floor above him. R/P left his apartment. apartment and went to investigate the noise on the second level. He observed an unknown black male (suspect) kicking at the door of another apartment. The suspect saw R/P starring at him and began to run after him down the stairs. R/P ran back into his apartment and attempted to close the door. The suspect started pushing and using his body to attempt to force entry into victim’s apartment. He was able to close and secure his door. (There was no damage to the door). Once the door was closed and secure the suspect left the apartment building. The subject did not speak and did not make any statements while attempting to enter victim’s apartment. R/P observed a Black Chrysler 200 unknown plate (Possible suspect vehicle) leaving the complex. Officers attempted to make contact at the apartment that suspect was attempting to kick the door in at, but no contact was made. Investigation is on-going. Suspect Description: Black Male, 6 Ft, 25-30 years old, beard, thin build, light complexion, wearing a black snap back hat, black hoodie, black jacket, and light-colored sweatpants. Suspect Vehicle: Possibly a Black Chrysler 200. Victim states she parked her Black Chevy 12:00pm (Apartments) Manufacturer CHEVROLET Blazer in the 20000 Block of Lahser Rd. Model TRAILBLAZER To: 01/06/2023 Color BLK - Black (Apartment Complex) 9:00am Sometime between 01/05/2023 12:00pm and the following morning at 9:00am someone stole the vehicle. 01/06/2023 22000 Saratoga St. Status SR - Both Stolen & Victim states he parked his 2004 Gray Chevy 9:00pm (Apartments) Recovered Trail Blazer in the 22000 Block of Saratoga St. Manufacturer CHEVROLET Model TRAILBLAZER (Apartment Complex) Color GRY - Gray Sometime on 01/06/2023 between 4:30pm- Vehicle Year 2004 6:00pm someone stole the vehicle. Body Style 4D - 4 Door On 01/06/2023, Officers were conducting Description 2004 Gray Chevrolet Trailblazer routine patrol in the 16000 Block of North Recovered Date/Time Park Dr. when Officer spotted a Gray 01/06/2023 10:30pm Chevrolet Trailblazer matching the Location 16000 description of the vehicle taken earlier on North Park Dr. Sfld, Mi. Saratoga St. The vehicle was parked on the top parking deck. A LEIN check of the license plate on the vehicle confirmed it was entered as stolen by Southfield Police Dispatch on today’s date. The vehicle had a punched ignition, and the interior of the vehicle was ransacked with the glove compartment and center console open. The vehicle was recovered. No suspect information. Victim advises she parked her 2017 Black Jeep 6:00pm (Apartments) Manufacturer JEEP Grand Cherokee, in the 20000 Block of Model GRAND CHER To: 01/06/2023 Color BLK - Black Kensington Ct. (Apartment Complex). 3:00am Vehicle Year 2017 Sometime between 01/05/2024 6:00pm and Description: 2017 Black Jeep the following morning at 3:00am someone Grand Cherokee Lerado stole the vehicle. No suspect information.
01/03/2023 16000 Cumberland Rd. Status S - Stolen/Etc. Victim states he parked his 2016 Hyundai 7:05am (Apartments) Manufacturer HYUNDAI Sonata in front of the leasing office in the Model SONATA Color RED - Red 16000 Block of Cumberland. (Apartments). Vehicle Year 2016 Sometime between 01/02/2023 7:00pm and Description: the following morning at 7:05am someone 2016 Hyundai Sonata stole the vehicle. Recovered 1/3/2023 5:00am Officer investigating observed security footage of one unknown suspect walk up to the vehicle, enter it on the driver’s side and drive off. There was an unknown model, silver vehicle following. From: 01/04/2023 10000 Town Ctr. Status SR - Both Stolen & Victim states he parked his 2019 Blue Dodge 1:00pm (Office Center Parking Recovered Charger Scat Pack in the first level parking Structure) Manufacturer DODGE To: 01/04/2023 Model CHARGER structure in the 10000 Block of Town Ctr. 11:00pm Color BLU - Blue Sometime on 01/04/2023 between 1:00pm- Vehicle Year 2019 11:00pm someone stole the vehicle. License Year 2023 Note: Victim has a tracking system (Theft Description: Blue 2019 Dodge Charger Patrol) activated on his vehicle. It was Scat Pack showing the vehicle was at a residence in Recovered: Date/Time Detroit. DPD recovered the vehicle on 01/07/2023 2:45pm 01/07/2023 at approx. 2:45pm. Vehicle had been stripped! The vehicle was partially stripped and is missing the following parts: Engine, Transmission, both front wheels & tires, Front Grill & Steering Column Ignition. No suspect information.
From: 01/07/2023 22000 Ivanhoe Ln. Status S - Stolen/Etc. Victim states her 2008 Gray Chevy Trail 8:00pm Manufacturer CHEVROLET Blazer, was parked in the driveway in the Model TRAILBLAZE To: 01/08/2023 Color GRY - Gray 22000 Block of Ivanhoe. 8:00am Vehicle Year 2008 Sometime between 01/07/2023 8:00pm and License Year 2023 the following morning at 8:00am someone Description: Gray Chevy stole the vehicle. R/P’s Ring Doorbell showed Trailblazer Notes: Broken Window on Driver's Side. the incident took place at 6:10am on 01/08/2023. A light-colored SUV (unknown make/model/plate) traveling eastbound on Ivanhoe Lane stopped in the street in front of her home and turned off its headlights. An unknown male wearing all dark clothing exited the passenger side and approached the Chevy Trailblazer on the driver side and drove off approx. 3 minutes after entering the vehicle. Both vehicles fled eastbound on Ivanhoe and then southbound on Lahser Rd.

Victim states he parked his 2016 Black Jeep 10:00pm Manufacturer JEEP Cherokee at his residence in the 20000 Block Model GRAND CHEROKEE To: 01/06/2023 Vehicle Year 2016 of Virginia St. Sometime between 01/05/2023 6:00am Description: Black Jeep 10:00pm and the following morning at Grand Cherokee 6:00am someone stole the vehicle. The vehicle was >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> recovered at M-39 and Michigan Ave. Four arrests were made. The vehicle was totaled with major front-end damage, including steering column. Investigation is on-going. From: 01/08/2023 22000 Civic Center Dr. Status SR - Both Stolen and Victim states she parked her 2021 White Jeep 12:00am (Apartments) Recovered Wrangler Unlimited in the parking lot in the Manufacturer Jeep To: 01/08/2023 Model Wrangler Unlimited 22000 Block of Civic Center Dr. 1:00pm Color WHI - White (Apartment Complex) Vehicle Year 2021 Sometime on 01/08/2023 between 12:00am- License Year 2023 1:00pm someone stole the vehicle. Description White Jeep Wrangler with pink accents. The vehicle was recovered by Michigan State Recovered Date/Time Police (MSP) in Howell, Mi on 01/11/2023. 01/11/2023 12:00am No arrests were made. Location: Howell, Mi. Investigation is on-going. Tips: Never leave your vehicle running unattended Park in areas where your vehicle is viewable if possible Use commercially available security devices

Victim came into the front desk to report that 3:54pm (Apartments) Description Catalytic Converter her catalytic converter was taken from her was taken from 2015 Kia Forte. 2015 Kia Forte. Victim advised that she had loaned her vehicle to a person known to her. on 12/29/2022. He was supposed to return the vehicle on 12/30/2022 however he did not. Victim tracked her vehicle to the 24000 Block of W 12 Mile Rd. (Apartments) and located it on 01/02/2023. When she started it, she realized the catalytic converter was gone. She is unsure who in fact stole the catalytic converter. She has tried to get into contact with the person she loaned the vehicle to, and he has not returned any of her calls. This person has been identified and Investigation is on-going. From: 01/04/2023 23000 Sutton Dr. Passenger side rear window was Victim states her 2020 Ford Explorer was 2:00am (Apartments) broken out and victims 2020 Ford parked in the 23000 Block of Sutton Dr. Explorer was ransacked. Nothing To: 01/04/2023 was taken. (Apartment Complex). 5:30pm Sometime on 01/04/2022 between 2:00am- 5:30pm someone broke out the passenger side window and rummaged through the vehicle. Nothing was missing from the vehicle. No suspect information.

Victim advises he parked his 1995 Oldsmobile 3:00am (Apartments) Description: Catalytic Converter Cutlass Supreme in the 23000 Block of was taken from 1995 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme. Carriage Hill Dr. (Apartment Complex) On 01/04/2023 at 3:00am someone cut off and stole the catalytic converter from the vehicle. Victim’s neighbor told him what time the incident occurred. No further information. From: 01/02/2023 20000 Charlton Square Status S - Stolen/Etc. Victim states her 2017 Cadillac XT5 was 8:00pm (Apartments) Description: Cash, JBL headphones parked in the 20000 Block of Charlton Sq. & Beats by Dre headphones were To: 01/03/2023 taken from victims 2017 Cadillac (Apartment Complex) 1:15pm XT5. (Apartment Complex). 9:35am Sometime between 01/05/2023 7:37pm- 01/07/2023 9:35am someone cut off and stole the catalytic converter from the vehicle. No suspect information.

R/P advises her vehicle was parked in the 8:00pm (Residence) Description: Victim believes her driveway in the 21000 Block of Harvard Rd. wallet with her driver’s license and To: 01/08/2023 credit cards were taken? Sometime between 01/07/2023 8:00pm and 9:00am the following morning at 9:00am someone broke out the front passenger window, entered the vehicle and ransacked it. Victim is not certain, but she believes her wallet with her driver’s license and credit cards were in the vehicle. No suspect info.
From: 01/08/2023 28000 Northwestern Status S - Stolen/Etc. Officers were dispatched to the 28000 Block 8:30am (Hotel) Description: Dark Blue & Black of Northwestern Hwy for LFA. (Hotel) Gucci Backpack containing To: 01/08/2023 blue and white Gucci shoes, Cartier R/P advised that he went out to his vehicle 8:44am sunglasses and a Michelle Watch and saw a subject inside his vehicle. He scared were taken. the subject away. Officers arrived on scene and spoke to the R/P. He advised Officers that he observed an unknown B/M inside his vehicle. The suspect fled on foot from the vehicle, and he began chasing him S/B through the businesses. R/P lost sight of the suspect, so he got into his vehicle and attempted to locate him. He did not locate the suspect. He then called 911 and waited for Officer's arrival. R/P described the suspect as a B/M, approx. 20-30 years old, 5'8"-5'9" tall, slim build, medium complexion, wearing black shoes, gray jeans, black jacket, black ballcap, and a black ski mask. The male fled the scene with victims dark blue or black colored Gucci backpack with contents.
From: 01/08/2023 21000 Independence Status/ Stolen: Victim states he parked his 2014 Chevy 12:10am (Residence) Description: Black Backpack, Impala at his residence in the 21000 Block of Debit Card, Gift Card, AAA To: 01/08/2023 membership card, Gucci Belt, Independence. Sometime on 01/08/2023 10:00am G Star Jacket & I Phone 10. between 12:10am – 10:00am someone broke out the front passenger window, entered his vehicle and stole his backpack with many items and other items from the vehicle. R/P advises his neighbor observed a “White SUV” on camera at the location around 6:20am the day of incident. No suspect information. From: 01/06/2023 15000 Providence Dr Status S - Stolen/Etc. Victim states he parked his 2014 Chrysler 300 10:00pm (Apartments) Description: Catalytic Converter in the 15000 Block of Providence Dr. was taken from 2014 Chrysler 300. To: 01/07/2023 (Apartment Complex) 11:00am Sometime between 01/06/2023 10:00pm and the following morning at 11:00am someone cut off and stole his catalytic converter. No suspect information.

(Apartments) was taken from 2006 Honda To: 01/05/2023 Accord. Sometime between 01/04/2023 6:00pm and 11:00am the following morning at 11:00am someone cut off and stole the catalytic converter. No suspect information. Tips: Ensure your vehicle is locked at all times and valuables are out of sight. Thieves wait for the right time and will move quickly Even if playing sports at a park ensure your vehicle is locked

(Incidents are occurring late night into the early morning hours.)
Special Attention: Larceny from Vehicles R&C Motor Vehicle/ Larceny from Vehicle/ Resisting Officer/ How to prevent this from happening to you! Possession of Stolen Property- 2- Arrests 01/03/2023 4:56am -Citizens should never leave anything of value inside 23000 Block of Providence Dr. their vehicle. (Especially Handguns, Purses, Wallets, (Apartments) Cash & Cell Phones!) On 01/03/2023 Officers were dispatched to the 23000 Block of Providence Dr. (Apartment Complex) regarding suspects going through - If you have a garage, you should park your vehicle vehicles in the rear parking lot. in the garage and lock the garage. Officers arrived on scene and observed two b/m subjects inside a Red Hyundai Sonata that was parked next to a Brown Buick. Special Attention: Larceny of Packages that were ordered and delivered via Common Carrier. How to prevent this from happening to you! Recently several citizens have had packages that were delivered to their residences and apartments stolen prior to them retrieving the packages. Citizens can prevent this from happening by scheduling a specific time to have the package delivered and be waiting for the package. Citizen can also schedule the package to be picked up by themselves at the common carrier facility.
R&C Stolen Vehicle- 1- Arrest 01/02/2023 3:02am 25000 Block of Northwestern Hwy. (Hotel) On 01/02/2023 Officer observed a Silver Chrysler 300, enter the parking lot of hotels, located in the 25000 Block of Northwestern. Dispatch confirmed the vehicle as stolen on 12/29/2022 out of Eastpointe. Three occupants were observed exiting the vehicle. Officer initiated a traffic stop in the parking lot and ordered all 3 occupants to place their hands on the vehicle, they complied. Once other officers arrived, all the occupants were secured and questioned. During the search of the driver Officers recovered a key fob that was for the stolen vehicle. The driver was questioned who the vehicle belonged to. He replied he did not know. The driver was taken into custody. The juvenile’s father was contacted and advised that his son was going to be transported to Children’s Village in Oakland County. The case was later turned over to Wayne County Probate because the juvenile resides in Wayne County.
R&C Motor Vehicle/ Resisting & Obstructing- 1- Arrest 01/02/2023 8:48am 22000 Block of Telegraph Rd. (Hotel) On 01/02/2023 at 7:30am Officer was conducting routine patrol through the parking lot at hotel in the 22000 Block of Telegraph Rd. He observed a 2019 Black Dodge Charger parked in front of hotel nosed in. A LEIN check of the license plate returned as a stolen vehicle out of Dearborn. The Charger was taken with multiple other vehicles during a break in at a business in that city. Surveillance of the vehicle was set up and a short time later Officer observed a black male in an orange shirt entering the suspect vehicle. Multiple fully marked patrol units with their overheads activated moved in to stop the suspect. The suspect who was a black male with braids in his hair, wearing an orange shirt with black pants ran on foot E/B through the parking lot. The suspect ran E/B across Telegraph Rd. A Southfield Police K-9 Officer announced on his PA system for the suspect to stop or he would send his K-9, and he would be bit. The suspect continued to disregard officer’s announcement and fled E/B on foot into the parking lot of business on Telegraph Rd. K-9 Officer gave a second announcement for the suspect to stop or he would be bit by the dog. The suspect then circled back with his hands in the air. The K-9 was posted nearby the suspect and targeted him on the suspect to encourage the suspect to surrender peacefully. The suspect was ordered to the ground, he complied and was taken into custody w/o any further incident. The key fob for the stolen vehicle was in the suspect’s pocket. Suspect was conveyed to the Southfield Jail, processed, and lodged.
Possession of Heroin/ Crack Cocaine- 1- Arrest 01/06/2023 7:35pm 23000 Block of Telegraph Rd. (Hotel) On January 6, 2023, at approx. 9:35pm Officer was conducting a property inspection in the 23000 block of Telegraph Rd. (Hotel). Officer observed a Silver Ford F-150 running in the parking lot. A white male was sitting in the driver's seat passed out. Officer checked on the wellbeing of the occupant to make sure he was not overdosing. A second officer arrived on scene to assist and together they contacted the occupant in the vehicle. He stated he was waiting for some friends and fell asleep. Lein check on the subject revealed he had an Officer Safety Caution and narcotics warrant out of Detroit. Officers questioned the subject if there was anything illegal in the car. He stated no. Officers requested consent to search the vehicle and consent was given. As the subject was exiting the vehicle officers observed him grab something from the center seat and place it in his hand. Officers immediately asked the subject what was in his hand. He stated it was a “Girl and a Boy”. Officers believed this to mean Heroin and Cocaine. Officers recovered the suspected narcotics and a crack pipe. A Southfield Police Evidence Technician Field Tested the suspected narcotics. Both tested positive for possible presence of cocaine & heroin. The suspect was taken into custody for Possession of a Controlled Substance.
Domestic Assault/ CCW- 1- Arrest 01/07/2023 10:00pm 28000 Block of Telegraph Rd. On 01/07/2023, Officers were dispatched to the 28000 Block of Telegraph Rd for a report of a domestic, possible felonious assault, which had just occurred at the business. The RP/victim, male half was waiting outside the business for the police. The victim had been struck in the face by a female, who also pointed a gun at the victim. The suspect had left the scene, possibly going N/B on Telegraph Rd. Officers contacted the male victim. He confirmed that his wife (married but separated) showed up at business unexpectedly and they got into a verbal argument. When he went outside to his car his wife pulled out a handgun and was waving it around with the barrel pointed at him several times. He was in fear that he would be shot. The victim located his wife’s location using his phone and shared location and gave the information to Officers. Shortly after putting out the information to other officers the suspects vehicle, a white Chevrolet Silverado with no plate was located W/B on Nine Mile Rd just east of Inkster Rd. Officers initiated a traffic stop and the vehicle came to a stop. Officers contacted the suspect. They ordered her to place her hands outside the window in which she complied. Officer asked her where her handgun was? She stated that it was on the passenger seat. The suspect was removed from the vehicle and patted down. The handgun was recovered from the front seat. The female did not have a CPL and she was taken into custody for CCW. After officers completed their investigation, the female was also charged with Domestic F/A.
