Commercial Burglaries: Date/Time Address (block range) Method of Entry Description/Suspect Information 03/30/2021 24000 Telegraph Rd. Lock was cut off. R/P states she had not been to her storage unit since 2:14pm (Commercial- Storage) the beginning of February 2021. On 03/30/2021, she made her storage unit, and discovered her lock missing and a company lock in its place. An employee opened the unit up and R/P discovered the storage unit had been ransacked. The employee advised that multiple units had been broken into recently. R/P believes 2- TV’s, a set of China dishes, a microwave and miscellaneous make up products are missing from the unit. No suspect information. From: 03/29/2021 24000 Telegraph Rd. Lock was removed R/P states she was last at her storage locker on 12:00am (Commercial- Storage) and is missing. 03/29/2021. R/P locked the door with the supplied To: 04/03/2021 lock from the facility. Upon returning on 04/03/2021, 4:30pm she discovered the storage rollup door was partially up and the lock was missing. Further inspection of her storage locker she discovered all her belongings were stolen from the locker. No suspect information.
04/01/2021 23000 Telegraph Rd. Door to Hotel On today's date, 04/01/2021, Officers responded to 2:48pm (Hotel) Room was forced the 23000 Block of Telegraph Rd to assist other open. Officers on scene at Hotel. Dispatch advised two women were in the lobby reporting someone was Possible Robbery/ shooting. Larceny/ Assault. Officers located the female that rented the room. R/P advised that she was in her room with a female friend, her husband and another male known only by the first name. and his wife. R/P stated suddenly three unknown males and two unknown females kicked in the door to her room. One of the suspects pointed to the male only known by his first name and stated, “We’re here for him.”. Everyone fled from the room but it’s unknown what happened to subject that was pointed out or his alleged wife. R/P thought she heard gunshots after she fled the room. After reviewing surveillance video, Officers identified the five following suspects: Suspect#1- Black male; black shirt, blue jeans Suspect#2- Black male; blue/multicolored shirt, white pants Suspect#3- Unknown male; tan hoodie, black pants with one white stripe down each leg, black shoes Suspect#4-Black female; dark hoodie, burgundy leggings, black shoes, ponytail Suspect#5- Unknown individual; white shirt with hood up, white pants. Further Review of Surveillance Video Shows a Silver Ford Fusion, a White GMC Acadia and a U-Haul Truck in the parking lot of the hotel. All three vehicles were
associated with the suspects. The suspects can be seen forcing entry into victim’s hotel room. Shortly after this you can see R/P and another female and male fleeing the room. R/P stated that her wallet was missing from her purse. Her ID and credit cards were in her wallet. A Southfield Police Evidence Technician processed the scene and collected evidence. One of R/P’s credit cards was recovered. Investigation is on-going. Automobile Thefts: Date/Time Address (block range) Year, Make, Model Details Status 03/31/2021 28000 Franklin River Dr. S - Stolen On 03/31/2021 at approx. 2:40am, R/P heard a 3:01am (Apartments) Manufacturer loud bang outside of his residence and then a CHEVROLET Model vehicle started up. R/P ran outside to see his TRAILBLAZER License No. Color vehicle (2006 White Chevy Trailblazer SS) WHI - White Vehicle Year pulling out of the parking lot followed by a newer 2006 Body Style State model Maroon/Red Dodge Durango with no MI License plate. R/P saw the driver of the Durango Description 2006 White Chevy and said he was a younger B/M and was wearing Trailblazer SS a face mask. R/P called Southfield PD at the time of the occurrence. Per the Cad Card, Officers located the vehicles S/B M10, but they were unable to catch up to the vehicles and ended up losing them. No police report was taken at the time of the theft due to R/P not having the vehicle information and it was all inside the vehicle when it was taken. R/P brought in a copy of the title and it was entered as stolen. R/P bought the vehicle back on October of 2020. He hasn’t had a chance to get the title transferred into his name. Incident is under investigation.
Status 04/01/2021 29000 Telegraph Rd. AS – Attempt Stolen Officers responded to the 29000 Block of 12:39pm (Commercial- Office Center) Manufacturer Telegraph Rd on reports of an Attempt JEEP Model UDAA that just occurred. Dispatch advised the GRAND CHEROKEE Color suspect vehicle is a Green Dodge Durango R/T BLK - Black Vehicle Year with Red Calipers occupied by 2 B/M’s that 2018 Body Style State broke a window on a Jeep Grand Cherokee and MI attempted to steal it. The owner of the vehicle License Year 2022 witnessed this. Description BLACK GRAND The suspect was described as a B/M in his 20's CHEROKEE wearing a yellow face covering, a black coat, blue jeans, and white shoes. The driver of the Durango was described as a B/M in his 20's with a short goatee, and unknown clothing. The owner states the passenger exited the Durango and approached the passenger side of his vehicle and broke out the rear back window behind the back door. The suspect then opened the rear passenger side door of the Jeep and entered the Jeep with a tablet to start the Jeep and steal it. (Victim was familiar with this device) The owner ran out to his vehicle and observed the passenger exit his vehicle and run back to the Durango with the tablet still in hand. The vehicle fled because they saw the owner running out to his car. As the vehicle fled the victim punched out the driver’s side rear window of the suspect vehicle. The suspect vehicle fled over the grass median and then S/B on Telegraph Rd. The panels near the dash and center council of victims Jeep were pulled off, exposing wires on the front passenger side.
A Southfield Police Evidence Technician processed victim’s vehicle. Photos of the damage and blood samples believed to be left behind by the suspect when he broke out victim’s window where collected. 03/30/2021 19000 W Nine Mile Rd. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> R/P advises that when he woke up this morning Status 1:13am (Private Residence) SR - Both Stolen and he discovered that Six (6) Dirt Bikes were missing Recovered Description from his detached garage. 2003 HONDA XR70 R/P has a Trail Cam set up in his back yard that RED/WHITE Recovered Date/Time got pictured of two unknown subjects entering 03/30/2021 2:00pm his garage. Recovered Description Four of the six dirt bikes that were stolen, were 2020 HONDA CRF 450 RWE recovered at the address. Two unknown suspects (RED/WHITE/BLACK) fled the scene on two dirt bikes as police arrived. Status From: 04/03/2021 27000 Arlington Dr. SR - Both Stolen and Victim states sometime on 04/03/2021 between 2:00am Recovered 2:00am- 11:00am someone stole his 2019 White Manufacturer To: 04/03/2021 DODGE Dodge Charger Scat Pack. Model 11:00am CHARGER SCAT PACK The vehicle was in the driveway with two Color WHI - White vehicles behind it. There were tracks in the grass Vehicle Year indicating the vehicle was driven across the lawn 2019 Body Style to get out. There was also broken glass at the 4D - 4 Door State scene. No suspect information. MI Note Recovery: License Year 2021 On 04/05/2021 our Department was notified of a Description 2019 White Dodge recovered stolen vehicle by Detroit Auto Charger Scat Pack Recovery. They recovered the vehicle on Recovered Date/Time 04/03/2021 7:10pm Notes 04/03/2021 at 7:10pm. It was recovered at in Has broken out pass Detroit. No arrests were made. The vehicle was window missing the license plate and All Four Wheels and Tires.
Status 04/04/2021 21000 Telegraph Rd. RS – Recovered Stolen R/P (employee from Tow Company) advises the 2:15pm (Commercial Towing) Manufacturer vehicle was involved in an accident on CHEVROLET Model February 23, 2021 at Greenfield Rd./Providence MALIBU Color Dr. and was towed to their Tow Yard. The vehicle BLK - Black Vehicle Year has been sitting in the lot since then and they 2020 Body Style were processing and marking vehicles as 4D - 4 Door abandoned. A list of vehicles was taken to the State IL Southfield PD front desk where Officer ran the License Year 2021 vehicle information and the vehicle came back Description BLACK 2020 CHEVY stolen out of Taylor, Mi. The vehicle was MALIBU confirmed stolen and recovered. Taylor PD was notified. No suspect information. Tips: ❖ Never leave your vehicle running unattended ❖ Park in areas where your vehicle is viewable if possible ❖ Use commercially available security devices

Michigan License Plate, To: 04/01/2021 Taken from 2020 Chevy Malibu. 2:00pm. R/P returned to her vehicle on 8:15am 04/01/2021 at approx. 8:15am and observed that the license plate had been stolen. No suspect information Status 04/01/2021 18000 W Thirteen Mile S – Stolen Package R/P states package was delivered by UPS to his 11:27am (Apartments) Description apartment building by the mailboxes on the main LEVOIT Air Purifier floor on 03/30/2021 at 2:59pm. The package was subsequently stolen. An unknown neighbor advised R/P that another unknown neighbor (suspect) was seen taking the package. No further information.
Status 04/01/2021 26000 Lahser Rd. S – Stolen R/P states she parked her vehicle on the south 12:52pm (Academy) Description: side of the building. Sometime between Handgun 11:30am- 12:30pm someone broke out window on her vehicle and stole her handgun which was in the vehicle. S - Stolen Victim states on 04/01/2021, sometime between 8:58am (Hospital) Description 8:58am- 1:35pm someone broke into her 2015 Gray Yeezy Sneakers, Silver To: 04/01/2021 Gucci Gym Shoes, Misc. Chevy Impala and stole several items. 1:35pm Clothing, Silver Macbook Laptop, The passenger side rear window was broken out Textbooks, Vehicle Registration and Proof of Insurance, Michigan on victim’s vehicle. Hospital Security found the Driver’s License, attacked vehicle while doing their patrol and White MCM Bag, Were Taken From 2015 Chevy Impala. notified the owner. No suspect information. Status From: 03/31/2021 16000 W Nine Mile Rd. S - Stolen Victim states sometime on 03/31/2021 between 5:30am (Hospital) Description 5:30am- 1:30pm someone stole his Michigan Michigan License Plate, To: 03/31/2021 Taken from 2006 Ford F-150. License Plate from his 2006 Ford F-150. 1:30pm No suspect information.

S - Stolen R/P for business advises sometime between 6:00pm (Commercial- Office Description 03/31/2021 6:00pm- and the following morning Catalytic Converter was taken To: 04/01/2021 Building) from 2014 Chevy Express Van at 8:00am someone cut off the catalytic 8:00am converter from their 2014 Chevy Express Van that was parked in their parking lot. Note: The parking lot is completely surrounded in 8’ chain-link fence with barbed wire around the top. Officer discovered a cut in the fence in the N/W corner of the parking lot. R/P advised this was fresh damage to the fence. The vehicle that was attacked is a company work truck. No suspect information. From: 03/31/2021 24000 Telegraph Rd. Status R/P (employee for business) advises catalytic (Commercial- Office S - Stolen 6:00pm Description converter was taken from 2015 Chevy Silverado. To: 04/01/2021 Building) Catalytic Converter stolen from This was the second work truck that had its 2015 Chevy Silverado. 8:00am Catalytic Converter taken over night. Status 03/29/2021 25000 W Eight Mile Rd. S - Stolen R/P advises she last saw her vehicle intact on 6:24am (Apartments) Description 03/28/2021 at 10:00pm. The vehicle was parked All Four Wheels & Tires were taken form 2018 Ford Explorer. at Apartment Complex in the 25000 Block of W. Eight Mile Rd. in front of her apartment. Sometime over night between 10:00pm- 6:24am someone took All Four Wheels & Tires from her 2018 Ford Explorer. The vehicle was sitting on two landscaping bricks, one under each side of the vehicle. The back passenger window was smashed out. The vehicle was rummaged through and it appeared there was an attempt to remove the spare tire out of the trunk. No suspect information. Status From: 03/30/2021 25000 W Twelve Mile S - Stolen R/P states on 04/02/2021 at approx. 10:10am, 4:30pm (Apartments) Description she went out to her 2011 Buick Lacrosse parked MI License Plate, To: 04/02/2021 Taken from 2011 Buick Lacrosse. in the 25000 Block of Twelve Mile Rd. 10:10am (Apartments) and observed her license plate missing. R/P last saw her license plate attached to her vehicle at Meijer (28000 Block of Telegraph) on 03/30/2021, at approx. 4:30pm. No suspect information. Status From: 04/02/2021 25000 Shiawassee Rd. S - Stolen R/P parked her 2009 Ford Fusion at her 7:00pm (Apartments) Description Apartments in the 25000 Block of Shiawassee on Michigan Handicap Plate: To: 04/03/2021 Taken from 2009 Ford Fusion. 04/02/2021 at 7:00pm. R/P noticed her plate was 2:00pm missing the following day 04/03/2021 at 2:00pm. No suspect information.
Status From: 04/02/2021 26000 Summerdale Dr. S - Stolen R/P advises someone stole her Michigan License 8:00pm (Condo’s) Description Plate. The incident occurred sometime between Michigan License Plate. To: 04/03/2021 Taken from 2019 Kia Soul. 04/02/2021 8:00pm- 04/03/2021 12:00pm. 12:00pm No suspect information. Status 03/31/2021 23000 Pond Rd. SR - Both Stolen and Recovered R/P states she was expecting a package and the 8:00pm (Apartments) Description item was a U of M sports helmet. R/P got an U of M Sports Helmet Recovered Date/Time update saying her package was delivered on 03/31/2021 8:00pm Location 03/27/2021 at 2:00pm. R/P went to get the 23000 Pond Rd. package approx. five to ten minutes later and the package was not at her front door. R/P states at approx. 4:00pm the same day she saw two younger B/M's approx. 16-20 years old carrying a bag full of packages out of the apartment complex into the parking lot. R/P confronted them and asked if they took her package. R/P spotted her package inside of the bag the suspects were carrying. She knew it was her package because the markings on it. R/P took her package & the suspects took off running through the parking lot with the rest of the packages. Possible suspects were developed and investigation is on-going. Tips: ❖ Ensure your vehicle is locked always and valuables are out of sight. ❖ Thieves wait for the right time and will move quickly ❖ Even if playing sports at a park ensure your vehicle is locked

Be on the Look Out Highlights: Arrests by SPD Officers: Animal at Large- OWI= Operate While Impaired Ordinance Violation was Issued. OUIN= Operate Under Influence Narcotics 03/29/2021 4:33pm LFA= Larceny from Auto 23000 Block of Providence Dr. R&C= Receiving & Concealing Stolen Property (Apartments) DWLS= Driving with Suspended License Officer was dispatched to the 23000 Block of A&B= Assault & Battery Providence Dr. (Apartments) regarding a Black & CSC= Criminal Sexual Conduct White Pit Bull at large. CCW/CPL= Carrying Concealed Weapon Officer located and secured the dog. Residents NOLOP= No Operator License on Person pointed out where the dog belonged and advised the R/A= Robbery Armed dog gets out of the apartment all the time because PWID= Possession with Intent to Deliver the resident leaves his windows open. PPO= Personal Protection Order Officer made phone contact with the resident and he returned home to speak with Officer. He was issued an Ordinance Violation for Dog at Large. The manager of Apartment Complex states this has been an on-going problem and they are in the process of evicting the tenant. No Pit Bulls are allowed. It’s in the lease agreement.
Special Attention: Fleeing & Eluding Obstruct Police/ Disorderly Person- 1- Arrest 04/05/2021 4:42pm 03/31/2021 1:41am M-10 & Evergreen Rd. 28000 Northwestern Hwy. Special Attention: Fleeing & Eluding Shooting Investigation: 04/05/2021 3:57pm Domestic Related CCW/ R&O/ DWLS- 2- Arrests W Eight Mile Rd. & Northwestern Hwy 04/01/2021 8:17pm On 04/05/2021 at 3:57pm, Officers were working as 25000 Block of Shiawassee Rd. a double unit when they conducted a license plate (Apartments) search in LEIN of a Black Chrysler 300. Information was developed that the suspects and suspect vehicle may reside at an Apartment Complex in the 25000 Block of Twelve Mile Rd. Officer was conducting stationary surveillance on the entrance to this Apartment Complex when he observed the suspect vehicle pull out of the complex and drive a short distance to a plaza on Twelve Mile Rd. Officer observed two males and female that matched the description of suspects exit the vehicle and go into the Store. When the subjects came back out to their vehicle Officers blocked the vehicle in. One of
the males hadn’t gotten into the vehicle yet and he fled on foot. He Southfield Police was observed holding onto his waistband like he was armed. Officers removed the driver from the passenger side of the vehicle. He was turned over to Southfield FD Life Support Unit and transported to Providence Hospital for treatment & a Blood Test. At the Hospital, the suspect became combative. Additional Officers had to respond to the hospital along with Hospital Security. The suspect kicked, spit on and bit several Officers. Officers used the necessary force to secure the suspect and placed a spit mask over his face. He was eventually secured with handcuffs and hospital restraints. OWI Investigation is on-going pending results of Blood Test.
