Automobile Thefts: Date/Time Address (block range) Year, Make, Model Details Status 11/22/2021 25000 Evergreen Rd. R - Recovered Only On 11/22/2021, Officer located an unoccupied 2:28pm (Commercial- Food) Forgery stolen vehicle in the parking lot of the 25000 Manufacturer JEEP Block of Evergreen Rd. The vehicle in question Model GRAND CHER was a White 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT. Color WHI - White It was reported stolen out of Ferndale PD. Vehicle Year Officers set up surveillance on the vehicle and 2016 Body Style State when the vehicle became occupied the driver MI Description was taken into custody. White Jeep Grand A Lein message was sent to Ferndale PD advising Cherokee Recovered Date/Time of the recovery and arrest. 11/22/2021 2:45pm Investigation is on-going. Status From: 11/26/2021 26000 Primary Dr. S - Stolen Victim states he parked his 2021 Gray Ford 12:30am Manufacturer FORD Explorer in the 26000 Block of Primary Dr. To: 11/26/2021 Model Sometime on 11/26/2021 between 12:30am- EXPLORER 10:00am Color 10:00am someone stole the vehicle. GRY - Gray Vehicle Year Victim states he tracked the vehicle's location as 2021 Body Style of three hours prior to the time of the reporting 4D - 4 Door incident, approx. 7:00am. The vehicle's location State MI at that time was showing it was in Redford, Mi. Description 2021 Ford Explorer Dark No suspect information. Gray with MSU License Plate
Status 11/24/2021 24000 Walden Rd W SR - Both Stolen and Officers were dispatched to the 23000 Block of 3:36am (Apartments) Recovered Lawn Rd. (Apartment Complex) Manufacturer CHRYSLER Witness observed two black male suspects Model 300 dressed in all black. One suspect appeared to be Color BLK - Black the lookout and the other suspect was looking Vehicle Year into vehicles. The suspect looking into vehicles 2014 Body Style got into the backseat of a dark colored vehicle 4D - 4 Door State near the dumpster. MI No other information was given at the time of License Year 2022 the call. Unknown if the suspect left in the Description 2014 BLACK CHRYSLER vehicle he entered. Caller stated the unknown 300 dark colored vehicle was leaving. Recovered Date/Time 11/26/2021 8:30pm Location Officer arrived on-scene and observed two Detroit. vehicles exiting the complex onto Ten Mile Rd. Notes Front Passenger Window One was a Dark Colored Ford Focus. It went w/b Broken out. on Ten Mile Rd. The second vehicle was a Dark Colored Chrysler 300 exited and went e/b on Ten Mile Rd. Vehicle was occupied by B/M subject, no further description. Officer activated his overhead lights on his fully marked police vehicle to stop this vehicle. The driver ignored officers signal and fled from him. Officer activated his siren and the vehicle continued to flee from him s/b on Lahser Rd. The pursuit was terminated. It was unknown why the vehicle was fleeing. It was later discovered that the 2014 Black Chrysler 300 had just been stolen from the Apartment Complex. No suspect information.
Status From: 11/26/2021 20000 Knob Woods Dr. SR - Both Stolen and R/P advises the vehicle is a company vehicle. 11:30pm (Apartments) Recovered 2021 Gray Jeep Grand Cherokee. R/P last saw the Manufacturer To: 11/27/2021 JEEP vehicle 11/26/2021 at approx. 11:30pm. Model 10:30am GRAND CHEROKEE The vehicle was locked and parked in the 20000 Color GRY - Gray Block of Knob Woods Dr. Vehicle Year R/P went outside to retrieve something from his 2021 Body Style State vehicle on 11/27/2021 at approx. 10:30am and MI License Year discovered that his vehicle was missing. 2021 There was nothing of value in the vehicle. Description 2021 GRAY JEEP The vehicle was recovered on 11/29/2021 at GRAND CHEROKEE Recovered Date/Time 10:00am in the City of Detroit. (Stripped) 11/29/2021 10:00am The roof, all four doors, all seats, dashboard, rear Location Detroit hatchback, all four tires, and windshield were missing from the vehicle. There was no license plate with the vehicle and no arrests were made. No suspect information.
Status 11/27/2021 26000 Greenfield Rd. S - Stolen R/P states he brought his Blue 2000 Toyota 10:16am (Commercial- Automotive) Manufacturer Sienna to the business located in the 26000 Block TOYOTA Model of Greenfield Rd. on 11/18/2021. He dropped off SIENNA License No. Color the vehicle there for staff to fix the brakes. When BLU - Blue Vehicle Year given a quote for the repairs, he reported it was 2000 Body Style State too expensive and decided to donate the vehicle. MI He arranged to have the vehicle picked up by the Description Stolen 2000 Toyota company that she donated it to. Sienna When they showed up the car was gone. The keys were left in the vehicle. No suspect information. Tips: ❖ Never leave your vehicle running unattended ❖ Park in areas where your vehicle is viewable if possible ❖ Use commercially available security devices
Larceny: Date/Time Address (block range) Item Taken Details Status From: 11/24/2021 27000 Northwestern S - Stolen Officers were dispatched to the 27000 Block of 10:00am (Hotel) Description Northwestern Hwy. (Hotel) for a report of a Misc. Tennis Shoes, Cash & To: 11/24/2021 Jewelry were taken. Larceny. The caller left his room on 11/24/2021 10:45am at 10:00am for work. He arrived back at his room at 10:45pm and observed his cash, jewelry and approx. five pairs of tennis shoes missing. No suspect information. Status From: 11/23/2021 28000 Franklin River S - Stolen Victim advises on 11/23/2021 at approx. 12:30am (Apartments) Description 12:30am her bicycle, a Light Blue GX2 Schwinn Light Blue Schwinn GX2 To: 11/23/2021 Mountain Bike Mountain Bike was parked on the patio of her 11:30am apartment located in the 28000 Block of Franklin River Dr. which is a ground level apartment in the back of the building. Victim stated that on the same day 11/23/2021 at approx. 11:30am she noticed that her bike was missing. No suspect information.
Status From: 11/23/2021 27000 Berkshire Dr. S - Stolen R/P states he left his Handgun in his unlocked 9:15pm Description Handgun 2010 Ford Taurus. To: 11/24/2021 Sometime between 11/23/2021 9:15pm and the 10:30am following morning at 10:30am someone entered the vehicle and stole the handgun from the glovebox. No suspect information. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Citizens should never leave their handguns or any firearm in their vehicles. Especially an unlocked vehicle. If you must leave your handgun in your vehicle at least try to put it somewhere it would be difficult to find. The first- place thieves will look is the glovebox, center console or under the front seat. I would recommend citizens keep their handgun(s) in a gun lock box that is bolted down in the trunk of your vehicle. The best thing to do however is not keep it in your car. If you’re at home bring it inside the home. Be sure to secure it if there are children in the home! Status From: 11/25/2021 20000 Seminole St. S - Stolen Victim states the 2005 Blue Ford Five Hundred 12:01am Manufacturer FORD was unlocked with the keys in the car and was To: 11/25/2021 Model parked in front of the 20000 Block of Seminole. FIVE HUNDRED 7:00am Color Sometime on 11/25/2021 between 12:01am- BLU - Blue Vehicle Year 7:00am someone stole the vehicle. 2005 Body Style State No suspect information. MI On 11/26/2021 several of R/P’s family members Description Blue 2005 Ford Five Hundred gathered and started driving around Detroit looking for her vehicle. R/P and her daughter located the vehicle in the parking lot of an apartment complex in Detroit. R/P advised the vehicle was unlocked and unoccupied. The keys were laying on the passenger side floorboard. R/P entered and vehicle and drove it home.
Status 11/26/2021 23000 Cornerstone S - Stolen R/P advised he asked his cousin who had been 3:10pm Village Dr. Description Handgun living with him to move out. The cousin obliged (Apartments) R/P and started to gather his belongings with his girlfriend and left. Shortly after he left R/P noticed that his handgun had been stolen. When the cousin returned to get some more belongings R/P confronted his cousin and it became physical. (mutual combatants) Officers searched the cousin and his vehicle for the stolen handgun. It wasn’t located. The cousin was arrested for DWLS. The female that was with the cousin was located walking on Greenfield Rd. She waved Officer down and wanted to know what was going on at R/P’s residence. Officers interviewed her and searched for R/P’s handgun. It wasn’t located. This female was arrested for an unrelated Southfield Warrant. The Larceny investigation is on-going. Status From: 11/28/2021 16000 Cumberland Rd. A-Attacked Victim was alerted by her neighbor that she 12:31am (Apartments) Description: heard a loud noise outside near her vehicle on Victims 2010 Ford Taurus was To: 11/28/2021 ransacked. Nothing was taken. 11/28/2021 at 12:31am. Victim discovered that 3:03pm her front passenger window had been broken out and the vehicle had been gone through. No suspect information. Tips: ❖ Ensure your vehicle is locked always and valuables are out of sight. ❖ Thieves wait for the right time and will move quickly ❖ Even if playing sports at a park ensure your vehicle is locked
Armed Robbery: Date/Time Address (block range) Item Taken Details Status 11/23/2021 20000 W Twelve Mile S - Stolen Officers were dispatched to the Gas Station in the 11:13am (Gas Station) Description 20000 Block of W. 12 Mile Road for a Holdup Alarm. Cash was taken. While in route Officers were advised that an employee at the gas station was on the phone with Southfield Dispatch confirming they were just robbed at gunpoint. Officers arrived on scene and spoke to two employees. The clerk working the cash register stated male suspect entered the gas station and had a handgun to his face and ordered him to give him the money. Victim gave him the money and he said give me all the money and threatened him. The second employee heard the suspect say “give me the money and threatened him. He told the clerk to give him all the money. The clerk then gave him money from the safe. The suspect was last seen running north on Evergreen Rd. towards a nearby neighborhood. Suspect Description: Suspect was a B/M between 5'-5" and 5'-8" wearing all black with a red ski mask covering his face and a black baseball style hat. The male was last seen running north from the Gas Station.
Status 11/24/2021 23000 Greenfield Rd S - Stolen On 11/24/2021 Officers responded to the 23000 Block 3:45pm (Multi- Office Building) Description of Greenfield for a Robbery. A male was robbed in the Watch, Necklace & Cash were taken. parking lot by two subjects with ski masks. They left in a Dark Gray Lincoln w/ tinted windows. R/P and his wife were inside business (Jewelry Store) to get a new band on his Watch. About 10 minutes after he and his wife entered the store he noticed a suspicious black male entered the store and leaned against the wall near the entrance. The male was wearing black jogging pants, a black Canada Goose coat, and a black ski mask. This subject was a young, light skinned black male, approx. 6'-0, 240lbs. When victim and his wife left the store, they exited the building and began walking towards their vehicle. A Grey Lincoln MKZ pulled up in front of them and the same male they saw inside the store exited the passenger side of the vehicle and pointed a handgun at R/P and demanded his watch. The suspect was referring to the Watch he had just gotten re-banded. The driver then exited the vehicle and pointed a handgun at his wife and told her not to move. The driver also told R/P to give him the necklace he was wearing. The passenger then tapped R/P’s right pants pocket and told him to give him what's in his pocket, which was an undisclosed amount of cash. The two suspects then got back into the Lincoln MKZ and drove away. A Southfield Police Evidence Technician was called to the scene for processing. Investigation is on-going. Suspect#1 (Passenger): Young light skinned black male, approximately 6'0
240lbs. Wearing black jogging pants, black Canada Goose coat, black ski mask, and black/white sneakers. Unknown hair/facial hair. Suspect#2 (driver): Young dark skinned back male, approximately 5'10 145lbs. Wearing green camo pants and green camo hooded sweatshirt, black Canada Goose coat, and a black ski mask. Unknown hair/facial hair. Suspect Vehicle: Dark Grey Newer Model Lincoln MKZ with dark tinted windows all around and black and silver rims.
Status 11/28/2021 16000 North Park Dr. S - Stolen Victim stated he had a Canada Goose Coat and 5:19pm (Apartments) Description Balenciaga Sneakers posted on the Offer Up app. Black Canada Goose Jacket & Balenciaga A person messaged him regarding the items on Sneakers were taken. 11/25/2021 and requested to meet up with R/P to purchase the items. Be on the Look Out Highlights: Arrests by SPD Officers: Special Attention- A.O.D/ Domestic/ Suicide OWI= Operate While Impaired 11/22/2021 15:10 OUIN= Operate Under Influence Narcotics 17000 Block of W Twelve Mile Rd. LFA= Larceny from Auto (Commercial Spa) R&C= Receiving & Concealing Stolen Property On 11/22/2021 at approx. 3:10pm, Southfield DWLS= Driving with Suspended License Officers were dispatched to the 17000 block of W 12 A&B= Assault & Battery Mile for a male inside the building with a firearm. CSC= Criminal Sexual Conduct Additional information was the male was assaulting a CCW/CPL= Carrying Concealed Weapon female and pointing a handgun to his head. NOLOP= No Operator License on Person The female had a PPO for the suspect. R/A= Robbery Armed Officers responded to the location but the subject RNA= Robbery Not Armed had fled on foot into a nearby neighborhood prior to PWID= Possession with Intent to Deliver Officers arrival. PPO= Personal Protection Order At approx. 4:25pm, Officer located the suspect on PBT= Preliminary Breath Test the s/e corner of Lathrup Blvd and Avilla in Lathrup R/P= Reporting Party Village. Southfield FD Life Support was called to the scene and transported suspect to the hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. Investigation is on-going.

R&C Motor Vehicle/ R&O- 1- Arrest 11/27/2021 3:26am 27000 Block of Northwestern Hwy Officer was on routine patrol in the 27000 Block of Northwestern (Hotel) when he observed a U-Haul Panel Truck parked in the parking lot. Officer ran the license plate through LEIN and it returned as stolen vehicle out of Ferndale, Mi. The vehicle was entered as stolen on 11/12/2021. Dispatch confirmed the vehicle as stolen and a tow truck was ordered to impound the vehicle. While waiting for tow truck the vehicle became occupied by a B/F. The lone female started the vehicle and began to back up. Officers positioned their police vehicles behind the vehicle and the vehicle stopped. Officers attempted contact the lone female driver and she refused to exit the vehicle. The female refused to give her identity or any information relating to the stolen vehicle. The female was taken into custody for R&C Motor Vehicle and R &O.
Disorderly Person/ Trespassing- 1- Arrest 11/27/2021 8:29am 28800 Telegraph Rd. (Household Goods/ Groceries) Officers were dispatched to business in the 28000 Block of Telegraph for a trouble with subject. Officers were advised by Southfield Dispatch that a white female in a black hoodie was in the grocery section of the store causing a scene and refusing to leave. Officers arrived on scene and met with representative from business. The female was located and advised on trespassing by business agent. The female refused to leave and was taken into custody for Trespassing and Disorderly Person.
