Commercial Burglaries: Date/Time Address (block range) Method of Entry Description/Suspect Information 07/09/2021 22000 Greenfield Rd. Landscaping Rock On 07/09/2021, Officers were dispatched to the 22000 5:41am (Liquor Store) was thrown Block of Greenfield Rd. on a report of an alarm. through the glass Officers arrived on scene, discovered good B&E. on the front door. A landscaping rock was thrown through the front door glass. Cash was taken from five separate cash registers. Some cash was recovered out in the parking lot. Suspect Surveillance Video shows an unknown suspect Description: arrive by foot at 5:33am. The suspect is seen walking Unknown male, over near the garbage can just south of the location. approximately The suspect grabs a landscaping brick and uses the 6'0". Wearing a brick to smash the glass of door. The suspect then surgical mask, forces the window up and slides into the building. grey hoodie, black The suspect is seen inside the store on multiple pants, gloves and camera angles. The suspect then leaves the store at a black cap. 5:39am. An undisclosed amount of cash and one bottle of Hennessy Whiskey was taken from the business.
From: 07/09/2021 23000 Providence Dr. Door was forced The building manager advised that the business had 7:00pm (Multi- Office Building) open. been vacated because the tenant was evicted. To: 07/12/2021 Suspect removed shelving boards off the wall that 7:00am were used to display clothes being sold by the business. R/P also stated a small amount of clothing that had been left during eviction and is now missing. It appeared that the suspect(s) cleaned up after themselves? Possibly the former tenant. Home Invasion: Date/Time Address (block range) Method of Entry Description/Suspect Information 07/06/2021 20000 Westland Dr. Rock was thrown Home is vacant and For Sale. Nothing appears to be 11:06pm through the disturbed inside the home. Possibly just an MDOP. basement window 07/09/2021 50000 Town Ctr. Door was left R/P came into the front desk to report Illegal Entry/ 8:33am (Residential- Condo’s) open by workers. Entering w/o permission at her Condo in the 50000 Block of Town Center. R/P states while she was not home on 06/14/2021 she had workers putting in some new flooring in her unit. They had the front door open while working. Management entered her Condo and yelled at the workers due to the noise they were making. The manager entered her condo without R/P’s permission or attempting to call her. R/P believes that this is unlawful entry and would like to press charges against management. R/P advised she’s filing a report because management sent her a letter regarding a noise complaint. The employee who entered was identified. Appears to be a Civil Matter?

Automobile Thefts: Date/Time Address (block range) Year, Make, Model Details Status 07/06/2021 18000 Westhampton Ave. R - Recovered Officers responded to a possible breaking and 1:27am Manufacturer FORD entering in the 18000 Block of Westhampton. Model There was a vehicle, (white Ford Flex, no plate) FLEX >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> 2014 MI backed into the driveway of the residence. The Entering w/o Description White Ford Station vehicle was locked and unoccupied. The vehicle Permission Arrest: Wagon was confirmed as stolen out of Detroit. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> A neighbor saw a subject enter the home and then a short time later subject was seen walking away from the home. Other neighbors stated they have seen the vehicle parked in the driveway on previous occasions. The suspect was located a short distance from the residence. He stated his father owned the residence and he has permission to stay there. Investigation revealed that the residence had recently been sold and was vacant. The subject did not have permission to be in the residence and was taken into custody for Entering w/o permission. The subject later made a statement that the vehicle was also his fathers. Also found to be false.

The vehicle was parked at her Equinox 7:00pm Vehicle Year Condo Complex in the 25000 Block of 2012 Body Style Maplebrooke. No suspect information. SW - Station Wagon State TN Notes Inside vehicle were headphones, papers, clothes, suitcase, shoes, air pump, and umbrella. Status 07/08/2021 15000 Northland Dr. S - Stolen R/P states he parked his Blue Dodge Durango in 10:20pm (Multi Office Towers) Manufacturer the 15000 Block of Greenfield Rd. DODGE Model (Multi Office Towers) DURANGO Color Sometime between 07/08/2021 10:20pm and Vehicle Year 2020 the following morning at 10:00am someone stole Body Style State MI the vehicle. No suspect information. Status 07/07/2021 13000 Block of W. R – Recovered Stolen On July 7, 2021 at 3:00pm Officer followed a 3:30pm McNichols Manufacturer DODGE suspicious vehicle that was now parked in a (Convenience Store) Model driveway. The Black Charger was occupied by a CHARGER Color single black male occupant wearing a black BLK - Black Vehicle Year balaclava face covering, black hoodie and black 2020 Body Style pants. The vehicle had an improper New York 4D - 4 Door plate which returned to a 2020 Hyundai. State MI Officers conducted surveillance on the vehicle License Year 2022 after it pulled out of the driveway. The vehicle Description BLACK CHARGER SCAT continued into Detroit and eventually parked at a PACK business on 6 Mile Rd. The driver exited the Recovered Date/Time 07/07/2021 3:30pm vehicle still wearing the black balaclava face covering. Officers contacted the subject. As Officers were speaking with the subject about ownership of the vehicle he attempted to flee on foot. He was apprehended and detained while Officers continued their investigation. After checking the vin on vehicle, it was discovered to be a stolen vehicle out of Fraser on 07/04/2021 without keys. The suspect was arrested for R&C Motor Vehicle.
Status From: 07/10/2021 27000 Franklin Rd. S – Stolen Golf Cart On 07/12/2021 Officer was dispatched to the 2:00pm (Apartments) Manufacturer 27000 Block of Franklin Rd. for a UDAA report. EZ-GO To: 07/12/2021 Model Serial No. License No. Color Two golf carts were stolen from the property. GRN - Green 7:27am Description R/P advises the green golf cart was parked in Green EZ-GO electric golf cart front of the leasing office near the front door, and the white golf cart was parked on the North side of the building. He last saw them parked on Status SR - Both Stolen and 07/10/2021 at approx. 2:00pm. R/P discovered Recovered Golf Cart them missing on 07/12/2021 at 7:25am. Manufacturer EZ-GO R/P recovered the white golf cart in the N/E . Color WHI - White parking lot of the 25000 Block of Eleven Mile Rd. Description which borders the property. No damage was White EZ-GO electric golf cart found/no key in the ignition. Recovered Date/Time 07/12/2021 7:30am The Green Golf cart is still missing. Status From: 07/09/2021 16000 North Park Dr. S - Stolen R/P advises her 2015 Black Dodge Durango was 1:00am (Apartments) Manufacturer parked in the S/W parking lot of Apartment DODGE To: 07/09/2021 Model Complex. Sometime on 07/09/2021 between DURANGO 5:00am Color 1:00am- 5:00am someone stole the vehicle. BLK - Black Vehicle Year Broken glass was located where the vehicle was 2015 Body Style parked. No suspect information. 4D - 4 Door Note: A similar incident occurred on 06/09/2021 State MI when the same vehicle was stolen from the N/E License Year 2021 corner of the parking lot at the same location. Description 2015 Black Dodge The vehicle was later recovered. Durango with Black rims. Later this same date R/P advised she had an active ping on the vehicle in the City of Detroit. Several members from the Oakland County Auto Theft Task Force made the location and discovered the vehicle backed into the driveway of the residence. Officers knocked on the door with no response. The vehicle was recovered w/o incident. Tips: ❖ Never leave your vehicle running unattended ❖ Park in areas where your vehicle is viewable if possible ❖ Use commercially available security devices
Larceny: Date/Time Address (block range) Item Taken Details Status 07/06/2021 25000 Basin St. S - Stolen Victim states on 07/06/2021 at approx. 5:00am 5:08am (Apartments) Description she heard a loud noise coming from the parking Catalytic Converter was taken from 2010 Ford Escape. lot and looked out her window. Victim saw a Dark Colored SUV parked sideways in front of her 2010 Ford escape, which was backed into her carport. Victim discovered that someone had taken her catalytic converter. Victim did not see any suspects. Status From: 07/06/2021 25000 Basin St. S - Stolen Victim stated she had been out of town. When 5:08am (Apartments) Description she got home she discovered that someone had Catalytic Converter was taken To: 07/06/2021 from 2010 Ford Fusion. stolen the catalytic converter from her 2010 Ford 8:40pm Fusion. It was discovered that her vehicle was parked in her carport next to her neighbor’s vehicle that also had the catalytic converter taken. Status 07/06/2021 28000 Franklin Rd. S - Stolen Investigation revealed that victim’s catalytic 8:55pm (Apartments) Description converter was taken from her 2004 Chevy Catalytic Converter was taken from 2004 Chevy Impala. Impala. Incident occurred sometime between 07/05/2021 9:00pm – and the following day at 12:00pm. No suspect information.

S - Stolen Victim states sometime between 07/06/2021 6:00pm (Apartments) Description 6:00pm and the following morning at 3:30am Catalytic converter was taken To: 07/07/2021 from 2004 Buick Century. someone cut off and stole his catalytic converter 3:30am from his 2004 Buick Century. The vehicle was parked in victim’s carport. Status From: 07/06/2021 28000 Franklin Rd. S - Stolen Victim states sometime between 07/06/2021 7:00pm (Apartments) Description 7:00pm and the following morning at 8:30am Catalytic Converter was taken To: 07/07/2021 from 2003 Honda Accord. someone cut off and took the catalytic converter 8:30am from her 2003 Honda Accord. No suspect information. Status From: 07/07/2021 26147 Evergreen Rd. S - Stolen Victim parked his 2020 Dodge Challenger (Rental) 2:50pm (Chipotle) Description in the parking lot in the 26000 Block of Evergreen Silver HP Elite Book Laptop was To: 07/07/2021 taken from 2020 Dodge Rd. He went into restaurant for about 10 3:00pm Challenger. minutes. When he returned to his vehicle, he Inc.# 21/23643 discovered that someone had taken his laptop. There were no signs of forced entry on the vehicle. No suspect information.
Status From: 07/08/2021 23000 Park Place Dr. S - Stolen R/P states her vehicle was parked in the 23000 9:35am (Apartments) Description Block of Park Place. (Apartments) Michigan License Plate was To: 07/10/2021 Stolen from 2013 Chevy Cruze. Sometime between 07/08/2021 9:35am- 8:30am 07/10/2021 8:30am someone took her license plate from the vehicle. No suspect information. From: 07/09/2021 23000 W Nine Mile Rd. 7- Chevy Malibu’s were On 07/12/2021, Officers responded to the 23000 12:00pm (Church) attacked. Windows were Block of W Nine Mile (Church) regarding seven broken out and steering To: 07/12/2021 vehicles broken into. columns and air bags were 4:00pm taken on all 7 vehicles. All the vehicles were Chevy Malibu’s. All seven vehicles had a window broken out and the entire steering column including the airbags were taken. The incident occurred between 07/09/2021 12:00pm- 07/12/2021 4:00pm. There is no suspect information. Tips: ❖ Ensure your vehicle is locked always and valuables are out of sight. ❖ Thieves wait for the right time and will move quickly ❖ Even if playing sports at a park ensure your vehicle is locked
Armed Robbery: Date/Time Address (block range) Item Taken Details Status 07/09/2021 27000 Northwestern SR - Both Stolen and Recovered On 07/09/2021, Officers were dispatched to the 3:57pm (Hotel) Manufacturer 27000 Block of Northwestern Hwy (Hotel) for a CHRYSLER Model Carjacking that had just occurred. The vehicle 200 Color was described as a darker colored Chrysler 200. DBL - Dark Blue Victim states he was sitting in his car in front of Vehicle Year his hotel room smoking some weed when 2014 Body Style State suspect walked up to him, pointed a handgun at MI Description him and stated, "give me your car" and "get in Dark Blue Chrysler 200 there" (motioning him to go to his room). Victim Recovered Date/Time 07/10/2021 5:00pm complied and the suspect drove off with his vehicle. Suspect Description: B/M, thin build, mustache, approx. 5'8"-5'10", 160lbs, wearing a black hoodie, and black jogger pants. R/P called his leasing agency to start tracking the vehicle. The vehicle was pinging at a location in Detroit. Southfield Officers and DPD Officers located the vehicle and the driver attempted to flee from Officers. The driver lost control of the vehicle and crashed. He then attempted to flee on foot. Officers caught up to suspect and took him into custody. The suspect matched the description of the person that stole the vehicle in Southfield. A handgun was recovered. Tips: ❖ Always be aware of your surroundings and report suspicious incidents or persons to your local police. ❖ If something doesn’t appear right or someone looks like they are up to no good, call the police immediately ❖ Trust your intuition
Unarmed Robbery: From: 07/10/2021 Southfield Service Dr. STOLEN ITEMS: On 07/10/2021, at approx.10:58pm, R/P (victim) 2:30am & Cornell Rd. Green Channel purse: came in to the station to file a police report. Gray iPhone 12 (Recovered) To: 07/10/2021 R/P stated she was robbed near Southfield Diamond Necklace: 3:00am 1 Silver/Gold with diamond Service Dr. and Cornell St. at approx. 2:30am. face Rolex watch: Victim was in town visiting her boyfriend. They 1 Rose Gold with leather band had just left a Nightclub in Detroit and got into an watch: argument. Her boyfriend made her get out of the 2 debit cards car at Cornell & Southfield Rd. He then took off 1 credit card and left her. 1 New York I.D. Victim flagged down an unknown Black SUV for help that was occupied by three unknown black males. The front passenger asked R/P if she needed help. R/P said yes. Once she began walking towards the car, the back passenger exited the vehicle and punched her in the face three times. The unknown B/M back passenger then grabbed her purse and attempted to pull it away from her. The front seat passenger then knocked her to the ground and they took her purse which had her cell phone and numerous other items. Victim sat on the side of the road for approx. an hour until she flagged down a good Samaritan for help. OWI/ Open Intox. / CCW- 1- Arrest (Driver) 1- Suspect (Passenger) 5) From: 07/06/2021 7:00pm 07/05/2021 12:33am To: 07/07/2021 8:30am Evergreen Rd. & La Crosse Ave 28000 Block of Franklin Rd. Officer observe vehicle traveling S/B in the N/B lanes of Evergreen Rd. (Apartments) He stopped the vehicle w/o incident. Catalytic Converter was taken from 2003 Honda After contact was made with the driver Officer could smell the odor of Accord. intoxicants emanating from the vehicle and the driver. The driver was asked to perform several sobriety tests and to submit to PBT Test. The result of the PBT Test was over the limit. The driver was taken into custody for OWI. Special Attention: Shots Fired Officer recovered a Taser (ECD) from the passenger’s purse. The taser 07/10/2021 10:36pm was collected for evidence. The passenger was RPI’d pending further 23000 Block of Edinburgh investigation. The passenger did not have a CPL. Officers were sent to residence in the 23000 Block of Edinburgh on a report of shots fired at a loud party. Officers arrived and determined an unwanted male showed up at the party, removed his girlfriend from the backyard, took her to the street and began assaulting her. Several other males intervened and gunfire was exchanged. All suspects left before police arrived. A vehicle was struck but the owner was not cooperative. Other partygoers were not cooperative. Area hospitals were checked for a victim with negative results. The investigation is ongoing.
