Commercial Burglaries: Date/Time Address (block range) Method of Entry Description/Suspect Information None Reported: Tips: ❖ Do not display valuable items in windows when closed for business ❖ Contact the Southfield Police Crime Prevention Bureau for a free security inspection (248) 796-5409 Home Invasion: Date/Time Address (block range) Method of Entry Description/Suspect Information 01/18/2021 26000 E Carnegie Park No forced entry. R/P advises she was in the process of moving out and 11:15pm (Apartments) her brother was helping her. They left the apartment on 01/18/2021 at 11:00am and returned the same day at 11:00pm. When they returned, R/P found her door to her apartment standing wide open. They did not go into the apartment and called the Police. Officers arrived on scene and checked the apartment for intruders. None were located. The R/P checked the apartment and discovered that several collector coins were missing from the apartment. There was no forced entry into apartment.
01/20/2021 21000 Berg Rd. Door was left R/P advises she left her house at 2:20pm and returned 3:33pm (Residence) unlocked. at 3:33pm. When she arrived home, she went inside the house and found that someone had gone into her bedroom and pulled some clothes out of a dresser drawer and dropped them on the floor. The victim then went outside and the suspect was coming out of the back yard carrying two weed whackers. The subject dropped the weed whackers and ran down the street to an awaiting car. (No Description) R/P recognized the suspect and provided Officers with the identity of the suspect. Investigation is on-going. Automobile Thefts: Date/Time Address (block range) Year, Make, Model Details Status 01/18/2021 25000 Shiawassee Cir. A – Attempt Auto Theft Victim states on 01/18/2021 sometime between 12:12am (Condo’s) Manufacturer 8:00pm- 11:59pm someone broke out rear DODGE Model passenger window on his 2014 Dodge Charger CHARGER Color and went through the vehicle. There was an item Vehicle Year 2014 plugged into the USB Port that was unplugged Body Style State MI but wasn’t taken. There was steering wheel License Year Description damage. No suspect information. Black 2014 Dodge Charger Status 01/19/2021 25000 Shiawassee Rd. A – Attempt Auto Theft R/P advises he was inside his apartment when his 4:01am (Apartments) Manufacturer Key Fob Alarm for his vehicle started to go off. DODGE Model R/P then heard a loud car engine, as if someone CHALLENGER Color was driving away at a high rate of speed. R/P WHI - White Vehicle Year went outside and observed his driver's side 2020 Body Style window on his 2020 Dodge Challenger was 2D - 2 Door broken out. Appears that the alarm scared the State MI suspect(s) away. No suspect information. License Year 2021 Description White Dodge Challenger
Status From: 01/18/2021 24000 Auburn Ln. S - Stolen Victim states he parked his 2020 Dodge 11:00pm (Condo’s) Model Challenger in his carport at his Condo Complex at CHALLENGER To: 01/19/2021 Color 11:00pm. At approx. 5:30am his neighbor was DGR - Dark 5:30am Green walking his dog and noticed broken glass where Vehicle Year 2020 victim parks his car. He notified R/P and it was Body Style confirmed that the vehicle had been stolen. 2D - 2 Door State No suspect information. MI License Year 2021 Description Dark Green Dodge Challenger Status 01/21/2021 26000 W Eight Mile Rd. RS – Recovered Stolen On 01/21/2021 at approx. 8:13am, Officers were 8:13am (Auto Recovery) Manufacturer dispatched to the area of the 26000 Block of W. CHEVROLET Model Eight Mile Rd for a possible recovered stolen EQUINOX Color vehicle. Dispatch advised that they were GRY - Gray Vehicle Year contacted by ONSTAR regarding a stolen 2016 2016 Body Style Chevrolet Equinox gray in color. 4D - 4 Door Officers located the vehicle in the parking lot of State MI Auto Recovery located in the 26000 Block of W License Year 2021 Eight Mile Rd. Officers investigation revealed Description 2016 GRAY CHEVROLET that the vehicle had been repossessed. Employee EQUINOX for Auto Recovery stated they sent DPD a Notes FOUND IN REPO YARD message that the vehicle was repossessed but it hadn’t been removed as a stolen. DPD was notified of the recovery and the vehicle was left with the business that repossessed it.
01/22/2021 24000 Greenfield Rd. Attempt Stolen- R/P advises she works at the Office Building and 10:50pm (Multi Office Building) Ignition panel was parked her Black 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee in broken and the parking lot. She left the vehicle unlocked. removed. When she returned to her vehicle after her shift she observed that her ignition panel had been broken off. R/P said items in her vehicle were tossed around but nothing of value was missing from the vehicle. Tips: ❖ Never leave your vehicle running unattended ❖ Park in areas where your vehicle is viewable if possible ❖ Use commercially available security devices

S - Stolen R/P for Car Dealership states that an unknown 4:08am (Automotive-Body Shop) Count suspect(s) broke into the outside body shop 24 Wheels & Tires To: 01/18/2021 Description storage lot. The suspect(s) gained entry by 24- Wheels & Tires Were Taken 5:15am From 6 Ford Edge Vehicles. cutting large holes through the metal fence >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> surrounding the west side of the lot. Status A - Attacked Officers observed several holes cut through the Count 6 fencing separating dealership and the business Description adjacent on the west side of the property. 6- Broken Out Left Side Rear Windows on Each Vehicle. 01/22/2021 15000 Town Ctr. Both parties allege that Several Officers were dispatched to the 15000 1:24am (Hotel) property was taken from Block of Town Center (Hotel) for a Larceny that them. just occurred and one person may be armed with a handgun. Officers arrived and located parties involved. Information was obtained that the male half had a female come to his room to service him. When the male questioned the female as to what kind of service he was going to get and he found out what it was going to cost for what he wanted he pushed the female out of the room. The female tried to get back into the room to get her wallet and her suitcase and the male refused to let her back in. The male was intoxicated and told Officers that the female and a friend broke into his room, ransacked it and took his wallet. The Hotel Management wanted the room evicted. The male who had rented the room was uncooperative and at first refused to leave. He eventually got a Lyft Car and was picked up and left the area.
01/20/2021 26000 Telegraph Rd. 3 Vehicles were attacked: On 01/20/2021 at approx. 12:11pm Officers 12:11am (Hotel) were dispatched to Hotel in the 26000 Block of #1 Telegraph Rd. for an LFA report. The R/P's Red Status A - Attacked Hyundai Santa Fe was broken into overnight. Description 2018 Red Hyundai Santa Fe. Officers observed the front passenger side Window broken out and vehicle window was broken out on the vehicle and the ransacked. Nothing was taken. vehicle had been ransacked. Status 01/20/2021 28000 Northwestern S - Stolen Victim states sometime over-night between 7:04am (Hotel) Description 10:30pm- 7:04am someone broke out the Women’s Wallet containing Cash, Driver’s license and ID, 2-3 Prepaid driver’s side rear window on his rental vehicle, Net Spend Cards, 1- Debit Card. 2020 Ford Fusion and took females wallet Males Driver’s License. containing several pieces of identification, driver’s license and an undisclosed amount of cash. No suspect information.
Status 01/20/2021 15000 Town Ctr. S – Stolen R/P states she parked her vehicle in the parking 12:16pm (Hotel) Description lot at Hotel in the 15000 Block of Town Center at Nike Jorden 5s, Nike Jorden 12s, Ralph Lauren Coat were taken 4:00am on 01/20/2021. When she returned to from 2012 Chevy Malibu. her vehicle at 12:00pm she observed the rear driver side window was broken out. Victim checked her vehicle and discovered that a pair of Nike Jorden 12s), Nike Jorden 5s and her Ralph Lauren Jacket were stolen out of her vehicle. No suspect information. Status From: 01/20/2021 29000 Everett St. S - Stolen R/P states he started his vehicle on 01/20/2021 7:30am Description Men's Timberland Boots, Cash, at approx. 7:30am and returned to the vehicle at To: 01/20/2021 Handgun & a T-Mobile Wi-Fi 8:30am. When he returned to the vehicle he 8:30am Hotspot were taken from 2008 Kia observed that it had been ransacked and Rondo. See Handgun below: multiple items were stolen from inside the car. Status From: 01/21/2021 27000 Bradford Ln. S - Stolen Victim states she had placed her purse in her 5:30pm Description Cash, Ring & a Watch were taken. kitchen. Inside her purse was an undisclosed To: 01/21/2021 amount of cash, a high-end watch & a high end 6:00pm ring. Victim states that she had a person (suspect) known to her over her house helping her with some household chores. R/P left the kitchen for a time and left suspect alone in the kitchen. Shortly after this a friend of R/P’s came over and the suspect let him in. The friend later stated that after suspect let him in he went into the kitchen and then abruptly left the house out through the garage door. R/P discovered items missing from her purse shortly after this. Officers investigating identified the suspect and vehicles associated with him. Investigation is On-going.

S - Stolen Victim states that she last saw her ring two days 2:34pm (Apartments) Description ago when she put it on the dresser in her Silver and Diamond Wedding Ring was taken. bedroom. The suspect(s) gained entry by cutting large holes through the metal fence surrounding the west side of the lot. The fence separates business to the west of the dealership. It appeared that the suspect(s) exited the lot by driving over the fence that separates the two businesses. It’s believed that the suspects were in CSC 4th Degree- 1- Arrest the business lot sometime between 4:00am- 5:15am. The R/P is an employee at the hotel and she stated she had been sexually assaulted by a guest in the stairwell and she believed he was still in his room. Officers went to the suspects room and contacted the male suspect. After speaking with the suspect and completing their investigation Officers took the suspect into custody for CSC IV.
